Junk mail ggggggrrrrrrrr

Hello, my BR was discharged in May this year.
Since then almost daily , I revive letters saying I've been pre selected for either a vanquish card or some other type of credit .
How does this happen , that I'm getting this mail, does any one know.
I've simply opened the mail, shredded its contains and recycled it .
Taking a few days off work later this month , spending 1 of them trying to take the next step in sorting out a bank account , if anyone will have me .
I've been with ThInk money since 2006 , I pay £14.50 monthly  for mgt fee (had a DMP/IVA with GP)but since BR is discharged , hoping that I can now move to a high st bank possibly , though TM tried to dissuade me , any ideas where I could try ?
Thank you

What if the Hokey Cokey is really what it's all about ?

Most high street banks will have you as a discharged BR for a basic bank account (they are bankers after all and love other peoples money no matter how it is produced!) but Barclays and Co-Op are the most friendly.
Junk mail is a pain, I get very little as well under the radar still, suspect that Think Money are selling on your details, every time I manage to get one more breath into this body, I will sing a song of thanks to you my brothers, my sisters, my friends, may your sleep be peaceful, and angels sing sweetly in your ears.0 -
Barclay's will have you.
The monthly fee for TM is a lot of money a month but I (personally) find the service and easy accessibility that they offer is worth it.
I have a Barclay's account too now, but I find I don't really use it. Although it will become my main account on the day I have to replace my TM debit card with one of the day-glo yellow 'look at me' fiascos.AD March 2014
