What's it about?

Back in July Bailey started this thread to help all pregnant MoneySavers and their partners save on anything pregnancy-related plus give each other moral support. It's been hugely popular and now has a long list of pregnant mothers-to-be. Now it's not just for those that are pregnant but also those trying to conceive and MoneySavers that have probably already given birth and yet are probably too tired to let everyone know.

What should you do?

As well as being a great source of tips, baby-related bargains spotted, mutual support and help MoneySavers here have also gradually built up a list, adding themselves to one of these categories (the last one, people are moved to for obvious reasons!):

• EDD (Estimated due date if you're pregnant)
• TTC (trying to conceive if you're not)
• Birth List
• Probably given birth but too worn out to log on list

If you want to add yourself to the list follow these steps:

• Click on the link at the top of this page that says "Last" (it'll take you to the last page of the discussion)
• Scroll down until you find the message with the very latest copy of the list in (if you use one further up the discussion other peoples' changes after that will be lost)
• Copy that (highlight it and click control+c)
• Click reply at the bottom of the thread to open a screen where you can past it (click control+p)
• Add yourself to the list then click save
• And don't feel shy. Introduce yourself, say hello and ask a question if you need to.

Plus, if you're thinking of how to cut down on nappy costs remember to have a read of the Nappy MoneySaving article too and for later down the line if you need childcare first read the Childcare Vouchers article.

Good grief.

My hubby is away for the night, so I am fully expecting something funny to happen. Most nights now I have been waking up with odd pains and sensations - unbearable backache is a firm favourite, although last night it all ended in full blown insomnia . I am SOOOOO prepared for those sleepless night thingies.
Ooh, good one two nights ago. I dreamt I was lying on something uncomfortable and woke up on my right side (never again) to find my hip was numb!! And painful, hence the dream.
I'm only halfway through, what is it gonna be like when I am properly pregnant!!

Morning All,

Congratulations Slapps! I too conceived in the 1st month of trying,we never expected it to happen that quickly either! I'm 8wks on Sunday.

I don't know how everyone else is/has been but my morning sickness started yesterday! The only thing is tho that i'm fine during the day,it's a night when i'm at my worst! Sure enough as soon as i lie down i start to feel very sick.
Last night i just couldnt settle & said to DH i think i'm going to actually get up & head for the bathroom,sure enough the sickness began shortly after.
I must add that he was very good & got out of bed to rub my back & make some comment's about ooh is pregnancy all it's cracked up to be!? :
I actually felt much better once i'd been sick too!

Hello there- I'm more of a reader than a poster, but had a great time reading all the pregnancy and parenting stories when I was expecting...SO just to add my news :

My gorgeous boy,Freddie Luke Holloway was born on 17th April at 3.39 pm, weighing 7lb 13. We had a bit of a shaky start as he had to have light therapy for jaundice and wasn't feeding too well, but he is now going great guns and is growing and putting on a bit of weight.
Best of luck to all mums to be and congrats to all those who have recently received a special delivery!

our hospital has special advice sessions for women who had a csection first time but would like a vaginal birth - as long as the reason you had a section wasn't because of your anatomy then there's all liklihood that you'd be able to have a vbirth this time. It's one of the questions to ask the midwife when you see her.

Yippeee - I think I have finally felt my babe move!!!

The only analogy I can think of is a fish flipping in my belly!?! Is this what I should be feeling? Its completely different to the little flutters I have been having for the last few weeks.

PS: I'm a vegetarian by the way so I haven't accidently swallowed a fish

yep sounds about right - I still wasn't sure if it was gas for the first week or so but now there's no mistaking it!
