Hmm, interesting Dormouse, I have a feeling it's a boy. But nothing to base that on - and still undecided about whether to find out the sex

Thanks Agutka, it was so so so nice to be away, having every meal delivered before you, dishes taken away - hang on, that's been life at home since I got pregnant ;) Weather was up and down but hotel was lovely, real luxury, much needed. Want to go again before I get too huge - not likely though.

I did think that maternity trousers were definitely forming more of a bump shape - but a colleague said I looked a bit fat - so maybe was in my head - hence feeling like, well, a big bag of Haribo.

I'm so jealous your scan is tomorrow - are you going to find out what you're having??? Good luck - I'm sure it'll be fantastic :j

some people are so tactful aren't they

I have days when I feel like a big fat blob and others when I think my bump's a great shape. I'm trying really hard to eat healthily but I've gone off chicken completely and only want to eat toast and pasta and sweets again (having a boy so that may be why ;) ) although I've eaten 2 punnets of strawberries already this week so it's not all bad :D

Justie, I'm exactly the same! Carbs is what I want as well :D

It's funny how you go through phases though. In early pregnancy, I wanted meat and went off cakes!!! Then, it was milk and other calcium-type stuff. Now it's carbs - yummy! :rotfl:

Justie, my sil said she had the chicken aversion too when I mentioned it smells funny.
Dormouse - I'm sure I had a calcium phase, but now I have to force myself to eat cheese. As for sweets and chocolate, I'm not gonna blame the pregnancy as that has always been my staple diet .

I think I get veggie cravings nowadays, just because I find them such a chore! Thank goodness for frozen stuff.
I've just had a grapefruit and a radish from my garden and my chest burns!! I'm gonna pay for that...

    Fac73, somebody called you fat!!??
That Emma's Diary person who sends us the weekly updates said her hubby called her a 'tummy princess' when she felt fat. I told hubby to call me that and the poor man fell on the floor laughing. Still hasn't forgotten it. Meanie.

Apparently, if you crave fizzy sweets, it's a sign that it's a boy. ;) I craved them with DS and now with his brother as well. At least I'm not at the stage where I was drinking cherryade and all that gunk, as I was towards the end of my last pregancy :rotfl:

Not heard that one before. Funnily enough, I really fancied a fizzy cherry coke the other day and I normally hate fizzy drinks. I even 'let' my four year old have one because I fancied one so badly! :o He know wants 'man drinks' when we go into town!

I had a really thing for cream cakes a few weeks ago, but that has passed and not really fancying anything else, just food generally. I seem to be constantly hungry and not because I'm only eating small amounts.

When I first started to show DH started calling me "lumpy", which I was not impressed with and insisted he call me "bumpy" if he had to call me anything at all. For the last 6 weeks, people keep asking if there is only one in there as I'm so big.

Its worse when strangers ask when its due and looked shocked when I say I have more than 2 months to go. I knew I was measuring a bit on the big side but didn't realise I was so big :(

Well she didn't just come over and say 'gosh you're huge!' just that my bump hasn't 'popped' yet and I could pass for having eaten too much lately (uh, I have!) and being a bit fat. Am normally a 12-14 so not skinny anyway but still a bit offended. Why couldn't she just lie/pretend. I am a bit sensitive lately though...

My parents were looking at sports cars (despite me talking loudly of mid life crises) and when my mum found a two seater she liked I had a huge tantrum and cried buckets thinking she wouldn't be able to take me and the baby anyway :o selfish or what.

I seem to have a new food phase every week or so, often several at a time  Currently into the aforementioned jelly sweets (also anything on that theme, wine gums mmmm), BEEF in almost any form (discovered a nice M&S pie, yum), orange juice (used to hate the concentrate stuff, now I can't get enough), wotsits :o peas and carrots, never been my veg of choice really until now. I DON'T want to put on loads of non-baby weight, but god it's hard to resist. Appetite through the roof lately as well, I could eat a cooked breakfast every day, oh that would be nice.

OH is lovely though and says my tummy is beautiful, silly thing. He prods it and talks to it, kisses baby good morning and good night :o

Welshlassie so often people say the same thing - strangers making comments about their size - make them back, I say! It's a bit rude I think - all our bumps are different, that's what makes them so wonderful :)
