Hi, this is the Daily Thread for Tuesday 9th January 2007. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything OS and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an OS natter. The more the merrier!
When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem, we’re a laid back bunch here so you won’t hear any complaints. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning
Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well
Hi everyone,
I've never started the thread before - I hope I don't offend anyone!
I just wanted to let you all know that we had my first baby scan yesterday and it was wonderful and I felt silly to be so worried! I've been put back a week so I'm only 12 1/2 weeks pregnant now - but so delighted that everything is going really well.
I can't sleep after getting up to pee at 3am but back to work today so off to try again for another hour or so. I'm just too excited! We told lots of friends last night on the phone so that's got me all excited again and I'm nervous about telling my work today.
O/S has gone to pot recently - I'm really behind on basic jobs like washing up and dishes but I'll get back on track tonight and properly at the weekend.
I'm sorry I didn't manage to read the thread fully yesterday - it was so long by the time I got home, so if I missed important news then I'm sorry and *hugs* if you would like them.
Love

Morning Valentine, Amie and all who follow
Just ordered a £5 voucher from Lightspeed. Chose Waterstones, so I'll either treat myself or use it to buy a gift for someone throughout the year - I have an 8th birthday coming up so could help there!
The weather here is horrible. I'm due to cover a football game this evening for some overtime, but I think it could be called off!! Good as I get a rest, but bad because I lose the overtime. But hopefully it'll be rescheduled for another day that I can make it.
Still not been able to get to the recycle bins owing to this lovely weather.
This evening's dinner is bolognaise made with leftovers from Sunday's roast lamb - yum!! As always sarnies from home in my bag for lunch, today's filling is leftovers from the xmas ham!! And breakfast will be an apple, when I can find it in my bag
Hope everyone's okComping, Clicking & Saving for Change0 -

Morning Chums,
Valentine, Congrats re your baby scan, :j I hope all is well for you and OH,when is the little one due ?
AMIE, well done for resisting the chocolate ,treat yourself to a little nibble at the week-end ,one tiny piece at the week-end isn't going to hurt you.;)
So the weather is grotty in your area Scuzz ,Oh dear that means it's probably on it's way to North Kent  .
I have a busy day today, I have college this morning ,went yesterday to do a Maths exam ,not too hard answered all the questions so fingers crossed. Casually asked to make sure that I didn't have my Lit class until next week ,to be told 'No it starts back tomorrow ' Bit of a shock as I thought it was next week ,haven't done any prep at all.Oh well will have to waffle through I suppose
Then afterwards I am off to visit my friend in Dartford. Will be staying until tonight as her OH is going to arrange an itinery for her and I for the U.S. for this year.He is a seasoned traveller, and we wanted to have a holiday there this year as I want to go whilst my joints are still able .She has been many times before, and my two daughters are quite happy to let their old Mum go off travelling with her as they know I won't come to any harm. They do fuss so, but at my age I suppose it's only natural.
She is a dear soul whom I have known for over 35 years and a much travelled lady.
Her OH is brilliant at sorting out where is the best places to visit .I don't mind where we go as I have never been to the U.S. before. We are both interested in History so it will be quite an experience .
I am putting the SC on before I leave for to make some soup whilst I'm gone .I have lots of chunky veggies that I want to use up in the fridge. If I put it on at 12.30 then when I get home at around 8.30.p.m.it should be rather nicely done.
SC's to me are the best thing since sliced bread.:j
Hope all those horrible stories about bad storms hold off today as I am not keen on the motor ways in bad weather. Have a good day everyone and (((hugs to those in need ))
P.S. Tilly Grace has had all her lines taken out now, and is feeding well. We are hoping that she may be home early next month if all keeps going as well as it is .:j :j0 -
Good morning everyone and congrats Valentine x
Chaos in our house this morning (yes, even more than usual) as DD has cookery at school today and "forgot".
Needless to say we don't have the required ingredients in the cupboard and we can't buy them from the school, so DH has gone on a mercy mission to find said ingredients before she has to leave for school at 7.30!!
So, a little fraught in the hypno house so far!
I need to have a real bash at the housework today - I got rid of the cleaner last week but haven't told the family. She used to come on a Wednesday so I need to make sure it is up to top standard so that they don't realise we are going without!!
I hope everyone has a good day! "Speak" to you all soon!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -

Morning Guys!
A better night last night although ear is still painful.
WM will be going on soon and DW not full yet, but should be on my lunchtime. Toilet has been cleaned. Between OH & I we did the ironing last night and took us 35 minutes. I did the little stuff and he did the big stuff. Feel good that I was able to help out with the chore but it has realy hurt my hand/arm as I have alot of weakness there. Maybe I need to do more to strengthn it:eek:
OH has come down with a chest infection so he will need to see the GP today and get something for it. He has a weakness with his lungs/chest from a child, so needs to keep on top if it.
DD seems to be doing well and the last 2 days her room has been spotless:eek:   ....where has my normal DD gone...its only because we deduct money from her PM if its not done properly:rolleyes:
Need OH to pick some eggs up today as we are having Toad In Hole for dinner but remembered to get the sausages out last night:A
Queenie-Im sorry to read about your friend. I will say a prayer for her.
I must get on with my next essay this week as its due next week..aaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
Anyway, Id best go and make sure DD has everything ready for school.
Breakie: Weetabix
Lunch: Aberdeen Burgers (reduced to 20p) and egg fried rice (reduced to 10p)-this will be enough for both of us
Dinner:Toad In hole, Mash, Cabbage, Carrots & Brocolli
Hugs to all.

Morning all
Valentine the first scan is wonderful isnt it!!
BIG NEWS this morning Crazychil is going to wet herself laughing when she gets up and looks out her window!!!:D
I told you all a while ago i have been having a fence dipute with one of the neighbours whos house backs onto my garden (i have 5 different houses back onto my garden, it is quite big) This dispute has been going on since easter as they put a unsafe fence up concrete/panel type one, one of the post was leaning into my garden, the council have been trying to sort it with `the witch` as me and crazychik call her, but she will not put it right.
Well guess what wind has blown it over and smash all the panel and plinth!!:rotfl: HAHAHAHAH.:rotfl:
See what the stuck up sod has to say about that!!! Sorry to sound horrible but she called me a council house type person once, and she is a private owner!!! I was so mad at the time when she said it.
Well other than me being overly excited about the fence blowing over dh and dd had bad night, but are both fast asleep now.
Plans for today, pork roast for tea, ironing and general tidy.
Catch u all later
