It looks like a flat piece of plastic, shaped like 3 sides of a rectangle if that makes sense? I would guess you just wrap wool around it to make the loops.
In other news, i finally got around to putting the TD on as its been such damp weather around here that I've no hope of getting clothes dry otherwise. There is also an apple crumble on for supperDon't usually eat stuff like that so late but it looked so tempting.....will admit is a bought one (aunt bessies) but it was on offer for 99p and it really is a good size - must go back and get a couple more while still on offer

Hello all, just wanted to say Hi, I've not posted on OS before but spent a few hours this morning reading through lots of your threads (oops, was supposed to be working....) and you've all inspired me into the following which I hope is quite OS
- Did my Tesco's shop in person instead of online, was inspired by Gingham's Vegetarian Meal Planner thread so bought ingredients for vege sausage casserole which I'll try on Friday eve instead of usual takeaway, also bought vege suet for dumplings - never made them before!!
- Realised I had a cupboard full of food which I should use up, especially as we're moving soon (see sig). I cooked a few curries over Xmas and so have alot of spices etc leftover, so I found a recipe for Chick Pea Curry to use them up. Had 3 tins of Chick Peas already so bought 2 more, plus some natural yoghurt - cost of £1.17 and I now have 8 portions waiting in the freezer!
- Used the end of a bag of potatoes, there was lots of tiny ones which are a pain to peel and I probably would have thrown them out. Instead I made a warm potato salad (chucked in some onion and sweetcorn, mayo and rest of yoghurt left from the curry) to go with dinner (tuna steaks in George Forman) and have the rest left of potato salad for work lunch tomorrow!
- Bought lunch stuff for work - something I never do. Pitta bread, humous, tinned tuna (eat fish but not meat). Gonna make some soup too so I can take it in a flask.
- Only bought 2 frozen things at Tesco - oven chips and nuggets for the kids who have 3 friends coming round on Sunday.
So, I've cooked dinner for me and OH for this evening plus another 4 nights (curry), have enough lunch stuff for me until at least the end of next week (8 days, usually at about £2 per day), got lots of fruit and veggies and have menu planned until Sat. Didn't take too long either, about 15 mins for the curry and that's for 4 night's meals! Spent £55 at Tesco, not sure if that's good or not for me as usually do big monthly shop full of processed food.(and usually booze but avoided that aisle! :A )
Oh, and I bought some Stardrops - love it already!
Thanks for all the ideas, will keep reading!

French knitting - I used to hammer in 4 nails to old wooden cottenreels. and we did coffee mats etc. Kids just liked to see how long it got. DS1 was in to it too as well as DD1 too.

Am off to London Friday to take my nephew to Harrods:eek:  he wants to go there before he goes back to Oz, any other ideas of where to take him in London this time of year?[/quote]
Go up the London Eye, very spectacular and an amazing view of London.I speak as a London born lady .The best way to see it as long as the weather is clear .:j0 -
Not sure now whether to post on today's or tomorrow's thread!!
Sorry I'm late folks, one of those days... So bad in fact my boss and I both ended up using choice language (very inusual) at the phone or Outlook everytime the phone rang or we received yet another stupid email...
I hate w**k politics... Who's stirring what with who, how I've been shafted by a colleague... Roll on fullyfledged housewife status and none of that chew...
So OS potential has been limited, although I did succeed in getting DLB to put dishes away (major accomplishment) and make HM pizzas. Have frozen half of dough for fairly easy dinner another night.
Off on business to Glasgow tomorrow, so I may not get chance to post - so a belated hug to all who need it, and hugs in advance for tomorrow.
I noticed some serious hugs were in order, but apologies - too frazzled to remember :S
