Hello everybody,
Rain here most of the day too. Hopefully it will fine up tomorrow. The plumber has promised he is coming on Saturday and doing everything. So.........I will believe that promise  and we will move in Sun/Mon. The phone line won't be connected until Tuesday so will probably be off line for a couple of days. :eek:After spending a frustrating hour on the phone to someone in Pakistan I sorted out the mess why our phone line to the new house was cancelled just after Xmas.
Put a chook in the SC this morning so need to go in the kitchen in a min to put on some roast veggies.
Well done Miss Pen Pen. What a great achievement.
Valentine - Glad the scan went well and fingers crossed for Tilly to be let out soon. Sounds promising if all the lines have been removed.
Sorry to hear of the bad news of your friend and her fight against cancer Queenie. Sounds like she will need good friends & supportive family around her this year. Prayers said.
Well better get into the kitchen. Sigh. Have a lovely day and I hope the weather improves. ByeeeeeeeeeeeDon't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.0 -

Hi everyone
ageandjo all the major museums are free-though am not sure he would like that (depends on how old he is!).
The science museum (South Kensington-near Harrods) is good fun, and the museum of childhood (Bethnal Green) has just reopened.0 -

Morning all
Congratulations Valentine
Well done Penpens DD
Queenie I haven't read your news yet so I will flick back through yesterdays thread, it doesn't sound good though
I was up bright and early this morning, only DD's lunchbox to fill and we are ready for the off. This weather is awful though, I am tempted to take the car
Right, must go flying and help DH look for his ID card.Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

Morning everyone
JackieO- that's good news about little Tilly Grace
Penelope Penguin - you should rightly be very proud
Valentine_x - awww... glad all went well
Dlb - I believe in karma, what is it with neighbours and fences? mine have thankfully moved out now!
Very quiet here. Ds is worried because he has a new teacher this morning (4 teachers for one year 2 class  ) at least he has been open with me about it but there is not a lot I can really do and I feel a bit helpless.
We have to throw some clothes on and do the school run and then come home and put some Ebay items on turbolister as it is a 10p listings day on thurs. DD wet the bed last night and I a going to have to sort all of that out as well as change our sheets and have a general tidy round.
Dinner tonight is fish pie and spinach which is a bit of a family favourite. Oh is not so keen on the spinach but I have told him he has to eat loads of it as he is so tired all of the time.
Have a good day everyone:) hugs to all that need them0 -
madame tussauds? it's very expensive!
Adult - £25.00 Child - £21.00  :eek:0 -
congratulations on your dd pen pen must have missed you talking about it and dlb bet it fair brightened your morning to see the fence down, hope your dh feels better soon penny-pincher and while i am envious of all the bargains you get i am not the one who said they were made up, its a case of being in the right place at the right time i think, got a lot of fruit and veg myself day after new year all at 20-30p
thought i would get my washing out but after going for the papers i found that it is raining too
love to all x0 -
Good Morning All
Congratulations Valentine.
Well I decided not to go into work today as I still feel rough and very achey. My plan is to dose up and read some more of 'Thrifty Ways ...' What I have read so far I am enjoying and I have picked up some tips already :T
I made a wholemeal sandwich loaf in the BM yesterday, it tastes fine but it came out extememly 'bumpy' on the topNot quite sure why, although I did rather get confused as to which recipe I was following
It was one of those days yesterday where my brain had slowed up.
Jackie O, how exciting to be organising your holiday to to the States. I have never been to the US either, but have always wished to visit Boston and the Laura Ingalls Wilder museums.
Have a good Tuesday
