Good morning everyone,
Valentine - so glad the scan went well, was wondering last night how it had gone!!!
Jackie - Really pleased that Tilly is doing so well, i bet everyone is looking forward to her coming home!!
Well, im up and dressed and ive made the packed lunches (making them the night before only lasted one day) so all ready to go, i guess!!!! DS and DD are still in bed, will get them up at 7.30 if i dont hear them in the next 10 minutes.
Have just one little one today, shes at nursery this morning, so i have a mystery shop to do, also need to pop into town quickly to pick up her birthday pressie (for Saturday) and hopefully i will also have time to do my weekly shop in Tesco - i have a list, and im determind to stick to it (only yellow stickered items allowed as extras!)
Diet is going well (hoping to get back to the weight i was when i went on holiday last year, put on more than a stone since then) im being really good, although i do treat myself to 2 chocolates every evening after dinner (3 on a Sunday!!!).
Right, little one due any moment, and i want to have a quick browse and finish checking my emails.
Hope everyone has a lovely day,
Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx0 -
 Morning everyone
Valentine :j for your little one.
The weather is ghastly here, think me and the kids will need our brollies on the way to school
All the kids are up and ready, although ds1 can't find his science book. I should go and get them some porridge really.
Was going to walk to Tesco's and buy ds1 a 'broadsheet newspaper mum, like the Guardian for maths', and a new lunch box for OH
Not sure what to make for tea, meal plan has fallen by the wayside...again. Yesterday's suet pud was lovely, but I really must stop eating so many high fat foods. Think I might do a spicy bean stew as I have loads of frozen cooked beans.
Anyway off to do some porridging......laters0 -
Morning all! Big hug for Tilly Grace, and congrats to Valentine - do you actually believe it now?
Really blustery here - my recycling bin has been over, and plastic over the garden. Think I've got most of it.
Early start here - just about to jump in the shower before w***. Had a busy start to the year - I have 6 bankruptcies booked in already   and a couple who I'm probably going to refer for IVAs. And we've not even got the Christmas bills in yet
DD passed her Baden Powell at Guides last night :T :j :T :j :T Thanks for all the best wishes sent yesterday - did the trick :A She's pleased and relieved. They've started a Senior Section for her and a small group (all lovely sensible girls:rolleyes: ) but it meant she wasn't home until 10pm    She'll be starting her Queen's Guide, now. Can anyone point me to what she needs to do for that? She's been saying that she needs to be up earlier, but I've just heard her alarm, and no movement from her room. Will need to go and investigate.................
Filled the house with baking yesterday - banana choc muffins, salmon fish cakes, ginger cake, pork curry, and started a veggie shepherds pie. Will help as I'm busy most nights this week, so won't have time to cook. DS's first parents' evening at his new school tonight. He's got off to an excellent start, so hoping for nice things from the teachers.
Shez, in answer to yesterday's question, and for anyone else, too, that's the small penguins in my Avatar. It's in the pool at a place we stayed in the US last summer. They're real water babies; DS did several lengths of the pool twice a day.
Off to pull DD's duvet off :shhh:_pale_
Have a great day, Penny. x:rudolf: Sheep, pigs, hens and bees on our Teesdale smallholding :rudolf:0 -

Penny Pincher - glad to hear your feeling a little better.
As with everyone it is blowing a gale here - and I'm pleased to say, unlike DLB's neighbours, I think all my fence panels are still up (for those who joined since last summer I spent almost all summmer putting these up with lots of moral support from this board).
Sat here grinding linseeds for this mornings porridge (lots of lovely EFA's) while the quinoa simmers for my packed lunch (I daren't 'buy' lunch as now have to report it on DFW, lol)
College today and I'll retry sending the boys to school - hopefully it's open today
Love and hugs to all as usual (whether you want them or not)

:hello: Morning my fellow OS'ers
Thank you all for your kind words, prayers and PM's - greatly appreciated!
Overslept this morning, but I'm giving myself permission for a day off of sorts. I'm going to make up some freezer meals so that I can take them over to my friends, last thing they need to have to fret over is what to cook/when or even *if* they can be asked to cook. Tomorrow I shall take it over.
Valentine, that is a wonderful experience, enjoy all those special momentsDo you keep a journal? I kept a pregnancy journal with my youngest two and wrote about how different things made me feel. Makes for very interesting ready years on
AMIE - good luck with WeightWatchers. Have you signed up on their website for their newsletter - it's free and often has links to articles and recipes which can help keep you motivated and inspired.
Jackie O - that is brilliant news about Tilly Grace :T
hypno - hopefully the school or her classmates will be able to share some of their ingredients with her?
Got world war three going on behind me as d11yo has messed about with his phone and mucked up all the pin codes - naturally this is the *end* of the world and life is turning against him  Won't listen to the voice of reason "We'll call the network" says I ... "I *can't* my phone's not working!!!" screams he ... let's see how long it takes him to twig that we have other phones that *work* ie landline :silenced:
((hugs)) for those who need/want them. Enjoy your moneysaving Tuesday ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Morning All
Very windy here in Essex can here things blowing around outside, not looking forward to the school run, think will be very quick one way and a lot slower the other!
Lots of officework to do today, also must do my revision for college tomorrow. May try and pop round a friends as her husband promised me a kitchen brochure from the company he works for. Am hoping we can have a new kitchen this year - lots of lovely cupboard space and hopefully a fully working oven unlike the one I have now which only seems to have 1 temperature - hot.
Shepherds pie for tea and lamb stew for lunch. Kids dont really like it so I make one now and then and freeze it for lunches.
So far all my good intentions for 2007 are going well, havnt lost any excess pounds yet though havnt put any more on.
Have a great day.
Congratulations Valentine.0 -
well off to work soon. sounds very stormy out there. havent looked yet...and I knew I should have filled the car with petrol last night. Now I will be soaked and blown all over the place
kids and mobile phones!!! I'm waiting for Orange to get back to me. DD got a new phone for christmas with "free" £30 of credit. on thursday last week, much against my advice because they are such a rip off, she downloaded two ringtones from the orange ringtone site. £7 it should have cost....it emptied her credit of £32. When I eventually got to speak to someone who could speak english, they found some kind of fault with an error code they hadnt seen before!....but apparently couldnt do a refund or it would spoil the evidence..her account reports have been sent to technical support to work out what happened. Needless to say despite the we'll get back to you....we're still waiting. if nothing happens today will try and phone tomorrow. I'd imagine the folks that handle that will be 9-5 workers IYKWIM.x x x0 -
