2007 Savings Record

One of my many New Year Resolutions (most of which are already broken) is to keep a record of my savings.

Week One:

Saved £15 off a £30 clothing shop using Tesco Clothing Vouchers

Had £26 line rental rebate after changing my phone company to Post Office Home Phone last year.

Saved at least £17 off nursing bras in the sale at Boots

Another £8 off next year's xmas cards/crackers/wrap etc in the Boots sale.

£99 in cashback from www.quidco.com This was from a car insurance policy with Prudential

£2.20 using money off coupons on my food shop

At least £2 saved by stocking up on 4 toothbrushes at Poundland

Another £3 free credit added to my free 02 sim card (thanks to 02's 10% back every three months)

£20.39 gained in cashback from my credit card

£10 saving on a George Foreman grill brought in the Tesco sale. (A present bought with our xmas money from the in-laws).

Grand total for the first week in 2007 is £202.59 !!!! :j

Not had the time to be 'actively' moneysaving this week, so I'm relying on more passive efforts.

Had £10 gift voucher courtesy of Pigsback

Used £5 CDWow discount code to get a free DVD

Saved £5 on a kid's present by giving a book from a set at the Book People bought last year for my gift cupboard

Got £30 in healthcare cashback from HSA

Used £1.20 worth of money off coupons

Saved £1.49 on BOGOF deals (and even more by only doing a small supermarket shop this week and using up my storecupboard leftovers)

Saved £2 by getting a free copy of Glamour magazine (by taking out a cheap magazine subscription last year)

Saved over £10 by getting hold of a book that I really wanted as part of a book swap

Closed a redundant account with First Direct saving myself the future £10 monthly fee

Received £12.93 (after fees/P+P) from selling my stuff on Amazon

Total for the week = £87.62

Saved an estimated £90 per year by switching my gas and electicity supplier

Saved £5 on a set of 8 cookbooks for £5 from Book People and at least £8 by packing a pack of giftcards for £1.99.

Also saved £3.50 by using a code for free P+P.

Had another £10 gift voucher from Pigsback

Saved £18 on clothes in a sale at www.mandco.com

Saved £3.99 on a belt (£1 from Adams)

Had a cheque for £4.22 from Dentyl PH Try Me Free

Saved £2.90 on BOGOFs

Used £1.70 worth of money off coupons

Total savings = £139.31

Earnt £246.15 in Cashback from Quidco!!! :j Most of this is from my Home Insurance taken out last year.

Made £3 selling my stuff on Amazon.

My eBay item didn't sell so lost my 15p listing fee.

Used £15 worth of Amazon vouchers earnt by completing online surveys through Juicy Brains Panel,
Lightspeed Surveys and Mum's Opinions.

£3.15 from my Figleaves order by linking through www.quidco.com (in addition to the forthcoming cashback!)

Saved £6 by taking sandwiches to work every day.

Because I've only counted the money I'm left with after P+P costs.

Don't worry about keeping the thread "clean" - other people might have the same question.
