Blimey Jo, your an inspiration! You seem to have saving to a fine art. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Judi.To be honest, I haven't had much time to do any real 'active moneysaving' lately due to pressures from work.
I'll be on maternity leave soon and I'm going to dedicate the time before baby's arrival to sorting out major financial stuff (as well as getting the house sorted!)
I've tried to do one 'big' financial change a month. So far I've switched gas/elec and am in the process of changing current account to Halifax. (I applied as part of their £100 cashback offer but the process seems really long-winded!)
My next target will be broadband. I know that I'm paying over the odds as I'm still with BT and I've never switched. I pay £15.99 a month and could get that cheaper - I just need to get in the right frame of mind to switch!
Keeping this log helps to keep me motivated and reminds me to do 'daily clicks' at Quidco/Pigsback etc as every little helps. The Tesco H&B coupons are excellent as well. I've been stockpiling toiletries and have also managed to swap unwanted coupons over at www.paidtoshop.com to maximise my coupon usage!0 -

Hi all
I went to buy a new car bank holiday weekend - screen price £6000 (special offer for bank holiday)- couldn't haggle after test drive due to time so said I'd be back next day - went home - looked on internet for reviews etc - found dealership website - car listed for £5400! it was a typo - should have been £6400 - needless to say I bought car at £5400!!!

Had to do two weeks together as I've been on holiday for most of this week (courtesy of Tesco clubcard deals) and didn't get around to doing an update last week.

£10.50 using coupons
£9.69 BOGOFs/multisaves
£7.99 on a free CD from the Nectar sale.0 -
Saved £5 using John Lewis discount code
£3.50 using Figleaves code
£6.68 Quidco cashback
£2.49 BOGOFs
£4 coupons
£6.85 selling my stuff on Amazon0 -
Savings so far:
Coupons £7.98
£10.50 cashback from Try Me Free offers (Schloer and John Frieda Hair Glaze)
Bought some bargains from ebay - baby swing £10 (RRP £80) and moses basket/stand £8 (RRP £50). I'm not going to count the savings from RRP (as I'm too tight to have paid that) but I have certainly saved at least £30 off the prices that I was prepared to pay!0 -
Ho Jo_b - how is it going? I love this thread - my totals to date are £379.85, of which I have saved real cash into savings of £297.15. This is from Orange wednesday movies, cashback sites, free movie previews, surveys etc. Any money I get from now on will be towards Christmas.MFW #185
