Hi All!
Just receievd my latest bill from Orange and they are now going to charge £1.50 for itemised billing from next month.
This does my nutt - you need itemised billing to make sure you are on the right tariff - and now it costs you to do so! Think it may be free to use the web billing though.
Am going to ring them today to see if there is anything I can wrangle. I wonder if this change in T&C's affects the contract you have with them?
Cheers,
Matt

Would be nice to know if we could get out of our contracts as those Flext tariffs are very tempting but I need to keep my number and I've got 6 months left on my contract0

You may be able to get out of your contract by quoting clause 4.3
4.3 You may also terminate your Contract if we vary its terms, resulting in an excessive increase in the Charges or changes that alter your rights under this Contract to your detriment. In such cases you would need to give us at least 14 days written notice prior to your Billing Date (and within one month of us telling you about the changes). However this option does not apply if:
4.3.1 we have increased the Charges by an amount equal to or less than the percentage increase in the All Items Index of Retail Prices published by the Central Statistical Office in the Monthly Digest of Statistics in any 12 month period; or
4.3.2 the variations we have made have been imposed on us as a direct result of new legislation, statutory instrument, government regulation or licence; or
4.3.4 the variation relates solely to an Orange Additional Service, in which case you may cancel that Orange Additional Service in accordance with Condition 15.1.
However they may be able to get out of it saying that it is an Orange additional service, and you cancel itemised billing?? But surely when you started the contract, itemised billing was not an additional sevice, it was part of the package??0 -
It does say you'll get a bill summary for free outlining your charges. Wouldn't that be enough to know you're on the right tariff?0

The fact is Orange are now charging for a service which they used to provide for free, so you should have the right to cancel. Probably find if you threaten cancellation they will just agree to waive the fee!!!!!0

No - that ony shows your getting ripped off - not where you are getting ripped off e.g. need more texts or mins etc!0 -
I see Orange are going to charge £1.50 for itemised billing from 1st July. Has anyone tried to kick up a stink to get them to waive this charge. You can view your billing online but the hard copy is very useful for claiming for work calls etc. As discussed on here before their customer service is severely under the U-bend at the moment.
Any feedback on the £1.50 would be useful . . . .
