Anyone know if this affects people on the "EQ Virgin" tarriff where they are meant to match Virgin on everything?
I know they stopped people joining this a long time ago, but I'm on it from a long time ago.0 -
I'm gonna write in too, send it off today. Just phoned a second time and they're under the impression that since they've offered alternative methods of viewing the bill they've covered themselves. They assure me that if i write in it'll be looked at but i would have to pay over £200 to get my contract terminated at this point! Crap...don't think i'm gonna be able to get out of this. My phone bills have been on the £150 mark! I'm moving to the FlexT £50 tariff asap!!

I have heard that this and a few other tariffs are not affected by the £1.50 charge, so don't cancel your itemised billing just yet! I am guessing that all invoices are printed on the same paper and that the wording is deliberately vague, so most will simply opt out. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -
who do you write to? I can't find an address on the website...
I was going to pay off the rest of my contract next month, as it'd be about sixty pounds, but might as well give this a shot instead since they're clearly taking the mickey!0 -
I asked for the address on the phone, it's:
Correspondence Dept
PO Box 10
Patchway
Bristol
BS32 4BQ
Mike Hughes is the customer services manager if you wanna address it for him, b ut i've worked in 2 call centres and the managers really don't get the letters, they get passed down to query handlers who deal with it accordingly. I've also noticed that what one person says in a call centre can be completely different to what another says! I find myself giving refunds, free stuff and discounts all over the place as compensation! ANYWAY I digress.
They also have a fax No: 01454624520

Just FYI...I spoke to customer services today and apparently Virgin OVP is not affected by this and will continue to have itemised billing free of charge.0

I want virgin OVP0

I am on virgin OVP but my June bill says I will get charged this.
I have just called am I have been told it applies to ALL tariffs (and I asked him to double check).
This might be a case of confusion in customer services but I would suggest that if you are told your tarrif is not affected that you record the date, time and name of the person you spoke to and ask them to record it in their notes as well.
Personally I'm not taking the chance so I will check on-line.0 -

I have heard of people who have been told that it applies to ALL tariffs and also those who have been told that it does not apply to OVP Virgin, but remember the Orange rule of three - Ring three times and you will get three different answers from the ever so knowledgeable advisors! I do not believe that it will actually be applied to this tariff but have not received my bill yet, so have still to see this vague statement. Once cancelled, you won't get it back, so why not wait and see.
