What's it about?

Back in July 06 Bailey started this thread to help all pregnant MoneySavers and their partners save on anything pregnancy-related plus give each other moral support. It's been hugely popular and now has a long list of pregnant mothers-to-be. Now it's not just for those that are pregnant but also those trying to conceive and MoneySavers that have probably already given birth and yet are probably too tired to let everyone know.

What should you do?

As well as being a great source of tips, baby-related bargains spotted, mutual support and help MoneySavers here have also gradually built up a list, adding themselves to one of these categories (the last one, people are moved to for obvious reasons!):

EDD (Estimated due date if you're pregnant)
TTC (trying to conceive if you're not) we now have 2 seperate threads for people TTC - 'Trying for a Baby' and 'Trying for a baby (12+ M/not straightforward)'
Birth List
Probably given birth but too worn out to log on list

If you want to add yourself to the list follow these steps:

Click on the link at the top of this page that says "Last" (it'll take you to the last page of the discussion)
Scroll down until you find the message with the very latest copy of the list in (if you use one further up the discussion other peoples' changes after that will be lost)
Copy that (highlight it and click control+c)
Click reply at the bottom of the thread to open a screen where you can past it (click control+p)
Add yourself to the list then click save
And don't feel shy. Introduce yourself, say hello and ask a question if you need to.

Plus, if you're thinking of how to cut down on nappy costs remember to have a read of the Nappy MoneySaving article too and for later down the line if you need childcare first read the Childcare Vouchers article.

Oh, just about to post this when I got thread closed - Luckily I manage to copy it

Tinks - I'm not feeling many kicks or punches either, but cos I'm usually sat with bump upto my desk or with my hand on it, I can feel him moving around. Some days he had good old wriggle about and doesn't stop, other days I don't really notice him, but I know he is changing positions.
Suzy - work??? whats that???

I'm doing the odd bits, but I stopped answering the phone months ago and keep passing things on so others can get used to it

It the past few months I have updated my budget spreadsheet for the time I'm on SMP (with the help of some fab links from Glam), updated my mystery shopping spreadsheet for last year and this year - so I'm ready to do my tax returns :eek: I've always done all my household stuff in the office anyway, but I have done moreso recently and I always have time for MSE

Elastigirl - that's a good haul from freecycle - my local one is pants - mostly wanted ads for stupid things like caravans -!!!!!!

Mine's more up to date than yours though cos I've added in Pinkpig's brith details

I reckon we will see the start of the next one - it seems to be about 1 thread per month but with SM and MM gone we might not talk as much :rotfl:

yay, shiny new thread!

Freecycle's VERY hit or miss. I have it bookmarked here at work b/c if you don't respond to an ad within 15 minutes, then you won't get the thing - the one bad thing about London I guess. I've already seen some good baby stuff go by (but missed it), but we did pick up a brand new filter coffee machine last week! (lol...for DH) so can be good if you get lucky

Morning all, ooh new thread.. baby moving lots and look like I've got a football stuffed up my dress..

Seriously strapped for cash at the mo.. popped my car up for sale and we will try and get by with 1 car in the meantime, even though we work in seperate counties, so I will have to bus it for a while, its a poopy ride, but thankfully it only be until the 22 Oct, my last day yeyyy..
