Glam - I would think your AL should be calculated pro-rata until the date you formally change employers. I know it's not the answer you want, but that seems fair!

Yeah I know it's fair but not what I wanted to hear! By the time I go off I will have been entitled to 10.5 days but have taken 11 days as I carried some hols over which I took in June. I don't think they'll worry about the half day though

We think Lu is having/had baby - she had a sweep and twinges a few days ago then dissapeared ;)

Is it wrong for me to hope she's had it as I'm convinced I'm not going anywhere until I'm top of the list :p

Oh, I thought those 19 days were already accrued, Glam. In that case you're out of luck!

Tink, I want you and Lu T out of my way!!!

Vic - Congrats on getting through it, be warned it'll start to go very quickly from now on :D For my budget I used this smp calculator (as posted by Glam) to work out what I would be paid each month. Just deducted my usual monthly bills, worked out what one off big bills I had to come and saw that it would be tight but do-able ;) ETA - I haven't factored in any working family tax credit thingys, cos that really confuses me...I'll sort that affter baby get here, but for now my budget is worst case scenario.

Sami - thanks for the updates.

MM - I still don't feel like bubba is anywhere close to making a move for the outside world, 3 weeks left, I have the rest of this week and another full week in work. Everything ready, so we'll just have to see.

Glam - maybe ACAs would be the best bet - they would give you the official line for each employer

NMS - my budget will also be tight but do-able.
With this GD I'm getting used to not having luxuries so won't miss them when baby comes along!

MIL tends to stock us up with goodies when she comes up
OH made his way through half a Victoria Sponge last night - he felt bad after I pointed out that I couldn't have it due to the 17.6g sugar per 100g of cake! He probably had a sugar overload though as he had it WITH ice-cream! Pig!!!

  • SS that's my policy too - I don't need a back story, just a polite request, which isn;t too much to ask!! Once I was offered something and then the offer withdrawn because they'd found a 'more worthy recipient' - it made me really cross cos how can they judge who's most 'worthy' - ppl just spin a yarn about dead dogs and aging grandmothers. I tend to just be polite and friendly and straightforward.
