  • Hi there

I have used Mopay twice to recyle phones and on both occasions opted for the vouchers - you get more that way!

My last phones I sent they said were not in working order - ??? - after e mailing them and receiving very prompt replies we have sorted out the problem and on Saturday I received the balance of the vouchers due.

Make sure before you send any phones you restore the factory settings - including reset all pin codes!!

I would use them again. I now have £84 worth of vouchers to go towards my Christmas 2009 shopping !! Yipee:T
  • I sent about 8 phones to Mopay a couple of weeks ago. I sent them special delivery as there were a couple of high value ones, and sent to their "proper" address as advised by some others on MSE. Got my cheque for the full amount this morning.

No problems with them at all. First class!!

After reading some mixed reviews of Mopay from the recycle thread, I wasn't sure if I want to use them. But decided to give them a try because they quoted 18 pounds worth of M&S vouchers for my old phone whereas other companies only offered 10.

Sent the mobile to the FREEPOST MOPAY address using self provided jiffy bag on Friday 27 March, and without any chasing up I have received the vouchers on Wednesday 8 April. - less than 7 working days if you take into account of posting delays!

  • Beware choosing your payment via BACS as the form where you are asked to enter your account details is not secure (no HTTPS).
  • Hi, just trying to use to sell a phone for my mum, however it is offering me one amount at the start and then when i get to the end it is saying i will receive a lower amount, which i am not very happy with. The amount at the end is still higher than anyone else, however i think i am going to complain to them about it. so at the moment i am not too happy, have sold a few old phones recently with other companies, picking the highest price and have had no probs like this.

I thought I would earn some extra cash and send off my old mobile to MOPAY - they had the best money at that time. Sent it off on the 16th April - I am still waiting to receive my money even though they say on their website that you will have the money in three working days!!

I have contacted them a couple of time by phone and email they have confirmed that they have recieved the phone but they have a back log !! Not really my problem but have now just sent them another email saying that I expect to have the money in my account in 4 days time or the phone to be returned to myself - this is totally out of order and really bad service

Would not recommend them at all.... Anyone else had problems with MOPAY??

    Hi All,
I sent off my old mobile in a jiffy bag via freepost. My responses are:-
    • Was it fast and efficient? It took about 2 weeks in total to get the money so not fast but efficient.
    • Did you get your cash promptly? My cheque arrived after 2 weeks, could have been a little quicker.
    • Did you have any problems? No.
    • Did it pay what it said it would? Yes.
I would definitely use them again, although there appear to be other websites offering more cash now but in my opinion reputation is all in this market.

I went for Mopay on the basis that it had a better rating than others even tho I could have eked out an extra 55p it didn't seem worth it.

    Cheers

I used Mopay but have to say it took a 2 month turnaround from sending the phone to them to getting the money into my bank account, I did email them a few times to ask for an update on my order status as the website did not recognise my username/ID/Order Number and they did respond in a friendly timely manner but i don't think i would use them again
