i know this topic has been discussed many times before and could probably have it's own forum... but I thought I would just warn others about sending their casback claim forms to OSPS.
I sent mine 2 days ago via Royal Mail Special Delivery, it was delivered and signed for. I rang them yesterday to confirm receipt but it was not showing on my account so the assistant advised me to call back today, which I have just done. It is still not showing on my account, so I have now had to contact Royal Mail for a 'proof of signature' to be sent to me.
If you have sent your claim in (Special Delivery is the most reliable, I sent one in via recorded and it got lost! Be warned!), do not assume that they have a record of it, make sure you ring them to see if they have applied it to your account. There seems to be no limits to the amount you have to chase this company to get your money! It seems they will try everything to get out of paying you!!

been waiting since 25th august when they recd it special delivery
would never buy off them again0 -
ive been on contract with them now over a month,i telephoned today about my automatic 1st cashback, they said it will take about another month,as they have been changing all there systems,i am also waiting for £30 of vouchers as i was tecommended to them,i was told by salesman when signing up to contract i would receive after 14 days, still waiting!0

My experience has been good and bad.
1) My first contract has been ok so far, having received 2 payments with one more still to apply for. I sent both by Recorded Delivery. They both took about a month to receive, but I did get them at the end.
2) My second one the phone was delayed 10 days after I purchased it, and when I received it I didn't receive the cashback vouchers. I phoned and emailed and didn't get anything. Finally after 2 months the manager emailed me and said as there was no note on my account saying I had asked for them within 14 days I wouldn't be sent them. It was only £30 but I was still angry with them.
Also worth noting that getting a recommend a friend vouchers from them is virtually impossible, better to use a cashback site like quidco.
They do have some of the best deals, and I am in 2 minds about ordering from them again. But I have learnt my lesson from the 2nd contract, and if there is anything wrong with the order after 7 days just return it. I've also heard a lot of people have got e2save to price match them, which seems like a great idea.0 -
I recommend one of my friend and he order two phones, Shall I qualify for one or two cheques"Money saving is often a science, investment is often an art."...MSE0

you should contact them and ask them, you should qualify though.
regarding my recommend a freind vouchers i will keep hastling them until i receive, ill wait and see if i receive my automated cheque next month,im begining to wish i had not used them now.
if i dont get my recommend a freind vouchers or struggle to get my cheque,is there any legal action i could take?0 -
Only problme with getting an e2save price match is that e2save don't allow mid-contract tariff downgrades - and they won't price match mobile rainbow :-(I think....0

OSPS used to be very good, reasonably quick at paying cashback...definately seem to have got worse since they have become part of the Carphonewarehouse empire. E2save are also part of the same Empire.
I've a couple of friends who are having all sorts of trouble getting the cashback all sorts of excuse and tactics used to avoid paying including "waiting for new cheques", and a particularly nasty one delaying of sending out bills making claiming of cashback next to impossible.
Some interesting info here here and here

grumbler wrote:Exactly the same experience with my last claim. The only difference is that it was recorded mail and cost me extra £2.50 to get a 'proof of signature' ... My friend had 2 recorded delivery letters lost recently. Very important point is that Royal Mail liability for lost recorded delivery post is very low - maximum is something about £30. I still take a risk and use recorded mail though.
Sometimes, Postmen deliver recorded mail without obtaining a signature, this happened to me once when I was out, they left the parcel on my doorstep and even tried to remove the label. I think they may have done this in my case and OSPS have taken full advantage of it by pretending it never arrived.
Fortunately for me however, OSPS, purely accidentally, sent me two sheets of cashback forms when I ordered the phone so I filled in the spare and sent it Special Delivery. I am now in the process of claiming £30 of the Post office for the 'lost' item. I'll probably get that sooner than my cashback for the phone.Sexkitten
