See post #1218 on last page & following the links.
I'd be looking for £40-£50/month discount, with upgrade to Talk Unlimited & maybe Talk Mobile/Talk International (cheaper calls to mobiles/international, if any use).

How'd you do this in 5 minutes? Trying to get through the customer service by phone is a nightmare... Anyone have a direct number or something of the sort with this sort of thing?
Phone 150, select option "You are thinking of leaving"
or 0800 052 9403 option 3 to get through to Retentions.

How long is the average waiting time at the moment choosing wanting to leave for other reasons other than the sky reasons option?
I've been waiting about 15 mins so far just wondered what to expect
Also they have been charging me full price broadband for the last 2 months I enquired with customer services who told me its only 1 offer per account and I had half price tv so couldnt have both should they put it back now?
My free talk24 phone has now expired too so I'm going to tell them to take it off do you think theres any chance they may give me some offer on that too?Thanx

Hi Guys,
I have been looking at this forum for the last month or so seeing what people have been getting in terms of deals, etc. The other day, after much research and reading... i rang Virgin!
I was on:
Sky Digital : £21
Phone unlimited: £25
2mb Broadband: £18
So as you can see... I was paying quite a lot of money! £64!!
I was considering moving to Sky as I am a Sky TV customer... they are offereing £37 for everything as you guys probably know.
So I rang up and asked what Virgin could offer... they reduced it to the following:
Unlimited phone calls
2mb Broadband
Cheap Mobile calls
Cheap International calls
For £19.95 a month!
I dont want to go to Virgin Digital cuz I like the free channels on Sky TV and one or two other things on there..
So I am paying £41 alotogether... which is £4 extra than if I move to Sky... but I thought, its not worth the hassle (as I would be charged a £40 activation with Sky anyway).
I am not to bothered about the cheap mobile and international calls, but they had to put that on to get the discount.
Now, I hope that gets further reduced as we all got the letter that Talk Unlimited will be reduced by £4! So that would mean its exactly the same as Sky! Excellent!
Also.. just thinking about it now... I should have asked for free itemised bills and caller display... or am I being too greedy??
Thanks everyone!0 -

You REALLY need to upgrade to the VIP package .
You'll get everything you have at the minute and more (although you "only" get 2 boxes with the VIP - 1 V+ and 1 normal , you'll have 2 pay for 2 more boxes) - but you'll get the 10mb broadband , and cheaper calls so although the VIP with 2 extra boxes might more outlay , you'll benefit in the long run with less call charges .0 -
Yeah i had a look at that, we would have to get a discount on the VIP package as once the extra boxes are added aswell it comes to the same amount, only difference being the increased internet speed and call charges (normally is below £10). We have 5 boxes currently, we pay for 4 and get the 5th free.
Any idea what the maximum number of sky boxes you can have? The sky site only allows you to choose 4.0 -
Line rental £11
Talk Unlimited (evenings and weekends) £5.50
Family Pack £19.50
BB (1MB)...anyone else only on 1MB!!?? £24.99:rolleyes:
£60.99
Doesn't sound too good does itThink I will have to pluck up courage to make the call. Do I need to know a name of someone who will offer me a better deal? Do they ask?
