Good morning all, Had a letter back from the Halifax yesterday stating that they will re-imburse me the PPI on an old loan. Have got noidea how much it is as the loan was paid off early so I'm waiting for a nice surprise.
Hi Girlracer
Congratulations.:beer::T:beer:
Make sure if you can that they send you a full written breakdown with it, so you know what is what, good luck.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
following martins advice i sent a letter to the royal bank of scotland regarding the ppi on my loan which was added as i was told my application for a loan would only be approved if i agreed to it it was not explained to me in actual figures what this amount would be (£75) a month so i sent of the letter and after 4 months received £4455.00 back from them I know at the end of the day it was money i had paid but what a bonus to get it all plus interest back i am now off to tackle the lloyds tsb for £1500 they have charged me on a loan i took out 3 years ago when i became self employed the cover only applies to people in employment not self employed so hopefully i will be back with another success story thanks martin0

I have just received a letter from A&L after 7 months of wrangling with them about mis-selling me PPI.
They have agreed to refund all premiums paid and associated interest, totalling £2,396.58
My health has suffered as a result of the stress caused:eek: but despite this, I am glad I stuck to my guns as what they did was nothing short of dishonest and the way they handled the whole issue has been apalling to say the least and they should not be allowed to get away with behaving as they have done.
Without the help, support and advice from Di3004 I would not have had the courage to see this through over such a long and hard fought battle, so Di, I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Just made a claim to Frizzell/Liverpool Victoria. Got immediate response asking for 4 wks to investigate. After 4 weeks got another letter saying it was not completed but would be within further 4 wks. Next day offer of all premium and interest plus 8% compensation. I had paid a total of £560 they are repaying £711. This was a test case for me and I am now pursuing 3 more for a total of over £5K.0
