Had a 'spam' e mail from ExtraFuel today offering "don't pay more than 29p"

Just wanted to make forum members aware that I received great help from Cardiff Gas when my contract with Flogas ended. They helped me buy the tank and they publish their price per litre on their website. Best of all, there is no contract. I've waited to post some feedback as wanted to see what their delivery times were like. Have had two deliveries now and I am impressed. Down to earth and good value for money. Their current price per litre (as at today's date) is 37p plus 5% VAT although users with their own tank pay less than that. Wide radius of cover too - I live in North Wiltshire and there was no problem getting Cardiff Gas to deliver to me.:T:j

How much did you pay for the tank, please? How was this worked out (e.g. using the tank switch formula which used to be available on-line on the old Competition Commission website)?
What size is your tank? Above ground or underground? And how old? And did Cardiff Gas recommend a LPG-ticketed Gas Safe engineer for future 10yr tests? Oh, and does Cardiff Gas provide an emergency service or did they give you an engineer's contact details for that?
PS How much were you paying Flogas before the switch?
Cardiff Gas is spreading out from their Cardiff base and Lima Gas spreading out from their Southampton base - both with some of the cheapest LPG around. Always worth contacting either or both if you could be in their expanding distribution areas!

Apologies for the lack of prices for April - somehow April came and went before I could get round to it.
Regrettably, LP Gas Wales no longer post domestic LPG prices on their site, only automotive LPG prices, which are not the same thing at all!
Anyway, here are May's prices - A slight dip, but nothing to get too excited about. It will be interesting to see if there is any significant movement next month as the pound strengthens against the dollar in the light of last night's events!0 -

Prefer not to say on the price as don't want other people giving Cardiff a hard time about their tank price. Cardiff charged me what Flogas charged them - unknown how it was worked out. It wasn't a lot and I think it was well worth it as I will recoup the cost via less p per litre and via less stress. Tank is 900 litres. Above ground. About 19 years old. Yes, they did. Yes, as engineer contacted me through them and did the test, which Flogas had omitted to do. Flogas asked for 73p+ so we instructed them NOT to refill the tank again before the contract ended (by email, recorded delivery letter and telephone, so they couldn't claim they hadn't received our instructions). We then existed on our wood stove alone for most of the winter of 2013/2014 so it wasn't painless.0 -
Just had this .....Woldlink monthly LPG pricing for MayThis month has seen a reduction in the cost of bulk LPG and prices have fallen by 1.69ppl since last month.

May pricing for Woldlink quoted at 25.99ppl, a reduction of 1.69ppl from April!

I'm afraid not. Prices are VAT exclusive, but it remains a very competitive price against the majority of LPG suppliers.0
