No reason the photos should just disappear so maybe they got deleted accidentally
I have mine to auto backup to Google and maybe a good idea for safety purposese

Just been to Rome and my family asked me to send loads of photos back

My trusty G300 was my weapon of choice & I took 100's daily and reams of videos
I had no sim card but the hotel had WiFi so as soon as I walked into the hotel it uploaded all my videos and photos for that day

I set photos to 3 Meg to speed the job up

Family really enjoyed my video/photo blog each day which they watched on G+

Personally I was gobsmacked by the quality on such low red

    Luvvin it
When will the "Edit" and "Quote" button get fixed on the mobile web interface?

See some of my previous posts - unless we do it manually, it doesn't do!

Sounds like a setting on the phone or google, get through them menus lol ;)
    Any suggestions?
  • I haven't been back here for ages but now return as I have a strange problem with my beloved G300 and I'm not sure how to explain it. It basically starts going 'mad' switching to different apps, typing by itself, things flashing on and off. I can only stop it by removing the battery when it usually works okay for a while but then again reverts to this very odd behaviour. I wonder if anyone has experienced similar or has any suggestions?
  • Woke up sunday morning to a totally dead G300. tried Mrs MBS's battery in it to no avail, tried leaving it on charge, pressing power button and volume button simultaneously. Nowt. rang Huawei this morning (on the 0207 number and they put me through to support, i'm not paying 0844 charges and WeQ4U was a no go :D) and they have asked me to send it to them for repair under warranty, which I have now done. Will keep the thread updated as to the progress of this episode.

Update: sent my G300 on Monday by 2nd class recorded (still a ludicrous £3.70!) and received it back this morning by 1st class recorded delivery. Fully repaired (new main circuit board installed so new IMEI number issued) and Android 4.0.3 installed. This phone cost me £100 from Vodafone a year or so ago - fantastic service from Huawei!

Is it generic 4.03 they put on or Vodaphone version? and won't it be locked again with a new board (effectively a new phone)?

    Agreed, excellent service!

Luckily this phone was running a Talkmobile SIM so never needed it unlocking.

No idea about the OS's origins but here are the details:

    BaseBand Version = 2030

    Kernel version = 3.0.8-perf00248-g9a0b819 android@localhost#1

    Build number = u8815v100r001co2b960

    Any ideas? :o

Does it have a Vodaphone splash screen on start-up? I believe V960 you have is the latest Vodaphone version, should be fairly trouble free.

  • Yes, voddy splash screen on start up. Here's hoping eh? :)

Bought this phone just over a week ago from Argos (with a new PAYG SIM) and cannot get the MMS service to work. Have spent ages on the phone with customer services putting in settings etc (even ending up unable to access the internet at one point). Everything else works and I can access the internet no problem.

The error I get is "service not activated on network". I'm told there are no bars or restrictions on it.

Went into a store today and they were most helpful and swapped the SIM for me, checked again there were no restrictions on the account. Still nothing.

Everyone I have spoken too says it should work and that the settings etc are correct.

    Anyone have any ideas?

Tried my old SIM and it works just fine...obviously using that one is the solution but I have a fair bit of credit on the new card (due to topping up for holiday last week) and don't want to lose it.

Can Vodafone transfer it for me if a solution can't be found? I don't used MMS that much but as it should work I want it to!
