Pharmacy anti-itch treatments?
Anyone know of a pharmacy that sells a product that helps stop itching of the gums? I'm not asking for medical advice, or recommendations for products specifically. There are products that can stop itching, but my local pharmacy has nothing. So I'm thinking of trying Boots / LLoyds / Well / Tesco / ASDA etc tomorrow but…

Glasses online - which ones send a box of trial frames?
I used myglassesclub in the past they send a box of 6 frames to choose from. I could use these again but I'm wondering who else does this (or do they all do this now?). I read that glassesdirect send a box of 4, but their extra thin lenses are only 1.67 and I could do with stronger (current ones are 1.74). Who else?

Anyone here an optician? Wearing cheap contact lenses for a short time?
Hi there I currently use the Boots Contact Lens Reward Scheme for my contact lenses and I am happy to pay the premium for Dailies Total 1 as these seem to be the healthiest lenses for my eyes. I get my eyes checked regularly and have never had any aftercare problems (touch wood) However, some days I go to the gym after…

diabeteses
I am a type2 diabetic, I was diagnosed 2 years ago. I control it by diet as I do not want any medication. I have spoken to Morrisons head office about…

NHS dental charges around a private referal
A few months back I cracked a tooth on some pork scratchings. Sad times. I won't bore you all with the details but the short version of what happened is: My dentist told me I almost certainly needed a root canal but that she didn't have the equipment to do it for me. She gave me the details of a private clinic that she…

anyone here had a referral to dental hospital?
Daft question, perhaps, but if you get referred to a dental hospital, is it a department within a normal hospital or is it a separate thing? Maybe it depends on the area? Got a recent referral to a dental hospital. Dentist couldn't tell me where I would be going, - something about it going into the NHS referral system and…

Greek Style Youghurt
I’m switching my youghurt from the normal to Greek Style. However, I’m wondering if there is any real difference between Greek Youghurt and Greek Style Youghurt here in the U.K.? My main supermarkets are Sainsbury’s, M&S, and Lidl. So I’m especially in their brands, though I’m sure others would be interested in other major…

Hi - I go on holiday on Tuesday and do not have any sunglasses. Can you still buy them with money off RRP at the airport? Artificial Sweeteners in Everything!
Anyone else more than a bit cross at having artificial sweeteners pushed at them as a healthier alternative to sugar? It's now almost impossible to buy a bottle of squash or a carbonated drink without sweetener in, what happened to freedom of choice for grown adults? And on what basis are these sweeteners safer than sugar?…

Walk-in hairdressers charge women more, why?
I am female and cannot be doing with waiting in salons for a haircut, sitting there with a magazine and a coffee being interrogated about my holidays/kids etc. So, I use walk-in unisex hairdressers, you know the 'no appointment' type ones. In and out in 20 minutes or less. I find it a good service, a simple haircut, no…
