Spekyfoureyes long wait for glasses

I ordered some glasses on 10th july. I have had an update today that they are being glazed. It seems a long drawn out process over a month for some sunglasses. The summer is nearly over and i go on my holiday next week. I thought i would have had them by now.
Is this the norm

  • July 10th?? :rotfl:

Good Lord my glasses (2 pairs) were made and ready for collection within a week. (local independent optician) Cheap evidently doesn't always mean good ;)

I wouldn't think so, I would say yes if you were a -25 looking for a reaction varifocal but as these online companies tend to avoid complex cases like the plague I'm going to say there's been a hold up somewhere.

No, but Speckyfoureyes had an MSE offer about that date which frequently overwhelms smaller suppliers.

could be a wrapped lens thoose are beasts to glaze and some have to be done by specialist suppliers but unlikely here.
  • Seems more likely that speckyfoureyes have been inundated by a load of people who want 'something for nothing' and got a voucher from this site, as pmduk suggests.

My glasses say they are despatched. But shame as I go on holiday today. So looks like they will be waiting for me when I get home. They are sunglasses
