One big difference between RyanAir and Easyjet is that RyanAir is an Irish company and you can't sue them in the normal way in the UK courts. Another is that RyanAir don't even pretend to be interested in customer service.

Hi all, I!!!8217;ve had a claim rejected for compensation by easyJet for my flight that was cancelled from Barcelona to Bristol on 10 June. The reason given on the app in the day was due to staff having gone over hours due to earlier delays because of French air traffic controllers but they!!!8217;re rejection is saying that this is the reason and they!!!8217;re not liable. Is it worth taking it further?

How quick are Easyjet to settle claims? Been waiting two weeks now, both compensation checker sites (Bott, EUClaim) tell me I'm due back £350 per person for our 4 hour 5 minute delay from Stansted to Dalaman on 1st June. Worth chasing them up or is it normal to wait a while?

It says 28 days on their website so I would wait until that is passed before chasing

To make a claim for EC261 compensation please complete our online EC261 compensation form. One of our team of specialists will come back to you within approximately 28 days to confirm whether or not you are eligible for compensation.

Hi there not familiar with this site but i need help
I was going on holiday with a former friend and long story short...

EasyJet sent a message to me saying flights have been cancelled so i can have a refund
My friend paid for the flight and i gave her my half of the money which is only 80 quid
so i told her i want my half back because im entitled to my refund
This mug is now refusing to give me back my money as EasyJet put the refund back to her card
She keeps lying about the refund and claims it has been done, now shes says her mum (who lives in Austrailia) did the refund and she will not give me my money back until her mum gets in contact with her

I have only a few days to get my money back as she is now returning to Oz as her visa is expiring

Im fed up with her lies and just want my money back she is refusing to give it back, it is not her money its mine she says she will pay me back, but its been over a month now and now she has decided to block me from contacting her, she is not going return my money, im sick of the lies now

    Hi welcome.
Perhaps chose friends more carefully. We cannot help you with this issue.
You could sue through small claims court if they were not going back to Australia...

However, you give no details of your cancelled flight - dates route etc. Depending on the reason for the cancellation you maybe due compensation from E250 to E600. Post up all the details for help.

This could be interesting! Just had my flight Manchester to Marseille tomorrow cancelled due to Marseille ATC strike.
No alternative EJ flights available from anywhere near, to anywhere near for at least 5 days.
£644 for BA flights cheapest that could be found to Lyon.
Additional £150 car hire changes to collect.
    Original EJ flight £99...
Odds on this going to court? Should I even try ADR when EJ reject claim that I've just submitted...
