Not sure if it has been updated but £922.25 for July please
Number 1450 -
A very expensive month over here for July, with things like parts of the holiday to pay for as well as organising and starting to pay for a friend's stag do. Looking on the bright side, I still managed to save something - £580.18 for me for July.
August and September will be hard for me with a changeover of jobs coming up with several weeks' gap, a change in pay day and a holiday coming up - realistically my target for August is not to dip into savings rather than actually to save something!
Will re-assess once this bumpy part of the road is cleared.
Thanks as ever to SF and all the Save 12k-ers for keeping me accountable!0 -
Reporting £2415.10 for July! I realise doing this challenge that from month to month, your savings rate can vary a lot depending on holidays, big once off expenses, etc, etc. It is not easy to keep a steady constant figure monthly. Erratic numbers are perhaps not a best sign for a saver. I might just be a binge spender after all.

And I think you shouldn't be re-calibrating. Having a target we fail to achieve might be useful to learn about how awkward plans might screw up our own ambitious plans or perhaps overestimating our abilities to save. Perhaps we might learn more about why people fail to achieve targets than about people easily achieving their targets.

It doesn’t HAVE to be in London, but things would have to change if I moved out of London. My social life, sports I play and would mean longer commute to work."If you aren’t willing to own a stock for ten years, don’t even think about owning it for ten minutes” Warren Buffett
