    £855.17 for August.

Changed plans mean I'm not looking to buy a house this autumn and am more re-evaluating whether I want to stay in this area or not, so hopefully I can reach £12,000 by the end of December...

Declaring £1800 for August, taking my total for the year up to £13,500. So quite a bit of work to do to hit my £20,000 target for the year - although my S&S ISA's been powering along which should help me hit the target.

    I've updated the form.
    Mortgage Feb 2001 - £129,000
    Mortgage July 2007 - £0
Original Mortgage Termination Date - Nov 2018
    Mortgage Interest saved - £63790.60
    ISA Profit since Jan 1st 2015 - 98.2% (updated 1 Dec 2020)

£2500 for August, so annual target already passed with four months to go.

I haven't had a holiday this year though (because events overtook me, not because I wanted to save money instead! :D)

Just an update to say I don't think I'll be saving anything for August :( I bought my daughter a washing machine! Having returned from Australia with a new baby and having to find a home, jobs etc it seemed a helpful thing to do :) After all, what are new Nana's for?

Aww Vintage, this is lovely. What a fantastic reason for not saving. Congratulations on your new grandbaby. :D

Have submitted update forms for July and August, as seems I had forgotten in July. Whoops!

My first lovely summer pay packet has arrived, so I have topped up some sparse parts of my YNAB budget and then been able to squirrel over £400 to my ISA this month. September should be tidy as well. With some luck I will actually make my £3k target.

Just posted our August savings and there was an extra £1000 that accrued because we were away for most of August. No season ticket, almost no groceries and no little extras. All the rest was budgeted for in the holiday pot

#146 checking in with £5900 saved for August.

Not as much as I wanted but we are looking at upgrading our house and I have stopped paying into my ISA as we will need some extra money. I don't want to count this as part of my savings as I might be spending it soon.

    Hi Everyone,
A VERY expensive August for us, as we've decided to have a new/improved conservatory built and the hefty deposit needed paying. So I'm declaring a negative -558.52 as we've raided some of our reported savings, and I want my total to reflect all the outgoings through the year. Next month will see a HUGE negative amount reported too. But then we'll be back on-track for the rest of the year.

    Happy saving everyone.

#11 declaring £4,135.77 for August, total £29,858.46 for the year so far. Work has been very busy for the last couple of months, but on the plus side it means plenty of overtime and no free time to spend it...
