    Why, thank you very much :):):) Just had a look! I'm very proud to be the longest-serving member along with slowlyfading (although others have saved more) :beer:

    I've also updated my sig with my new savings total. Just realised that I've saved £41,358 in the last 3 years :beer:

    We definitely had more people drop out during 2018 :(


    I do wish people wouldn't because over time even small amounts saved can build up impressively and if you have to have a couple of months, or three or four, or however many, where you can't manage saving at all, well that's fine - just keep trying, is my thought. It's just such a shame :(

    Well I have just got round to entering the final info for 2018. Had a reasonable November, but a disastrous December. My wife was driving the car when somebody hit her side on and wrote our car off 2 weeks before Christmas. Thankfully my wife wasn't killed or seriously injured. The other driver admitted liability, but we still needed to get another car, so £2K had to be taken out of savings as a deposit. This meant we fell well short of our target, but still saved more than we ever have before.

    Just looking through the numbers. Cumulative total of £877,179.14 in 2018, down from £1,294,396.35 in 2017. Nowhere near our cumulative target but good effort everyone especially from the regulars. Continue chucking away in 2019! You never know when the rainy day might come.

    I remembered someone posted a link to a summary of the savings we managed over the years, wondered if we can attach that to the main post as well. Might be a good reference for motivational purposes.

    It was geoffers4 over on the 2019 thread - the totaliser spreadsheet link is here. You could PM slowlyfading - not many of us popping in on this one any more
