  • i'll be looking to join next years thread. Just sat and totalled up my payments into various investments and savings accounts since Jan 2018 and it adds up to £7395, of which £700 was in November. How much i save a month varies between a minimum of £375 a month (DD's and SO's that go out automatically) up to about about £800+ depending on overtime/unexpected bills/how much i spend etc. The say before payday whateve is left in my current account is swept into the SS ISA as i've no real need to hold any more cash.

It's quite sobering seeing the grand total written down - i've never really thought of what i have as "wealth", or myself as "wealthy", especally as it is all broken down into various different "pots" and held as property, direct shares, funds, cash savings, Premium Bonds, pensions i can't access yet etc

Well I am not going to make target by end of year.

However as we didn't start saving tiil may and our lifetime isa runs until april-april I think it's more realistic that we will hit target by then.
Not been able to save anything since June as we had a pretty booked holiday and then some big expenses to be paid. Hoping 2019 is kinder to us!
Will join the next challenge but may have to jig my figures!

Managed to reach my target +10%

Well done to all, even if targets are not reached.

  • I didn't continue this year as we had awful managing agents trying to fleece every £1 they could from the Lease.

We have now completed a RTM which gives us control back and will put me in a stronger position for next year.
