Sorry to go off topic but where are you all putting this saved cash to get best benefit?
really interested in getting involved next year but also interested in where you are putting it to maximise or a link to the thread you might use for this.
I think everyone in the thread will have a different answer for this. Pensions, shares, regular savers, ISAs, savings accounts, mortgage payments, current accounts, under the mattress. Everyone has a different goal and a different plan for the money.Save £12k in 2025 #33 £2531.77/£5000 (If this carries on I might have to up my target!)

£1000 for November, which is better than I was expecting as my S&S ISA is still taking a battering. It's also been a heavy month for lots of £100-£300 amounts being spent on such things as new specs, walking boots, kitchen lighting and blinds.
I thought I'd redecorate the kitchen before Christmas - thinking it would just cost a couple of tins of paint. But things escalate including new lights and electricians to install them, and 30 quid is nearer £1000! :eek:Save £12k in 2022 thread #7:

Hi Everyone,
No.002 reporting £2077.61 savings for November - a pair of a gloves and a car park ticket, that's all I bought this month! Hope everyone's on-track for the last month of the 2018 challenge...if I'm VERY lucky I might hit my target, but more likely will fall a little bit short. Overall I'm happy though.
Happy saving everyone.Save 12k in 2013-2014-2015-2016-2017-2018-2019-2020-2021-2022 - then early-retired.0 -
Morning all, #11 reporting £3824.30 for November, £42,836.37 for the year so far. Hope to tick past £45k this month, which would be 150% of my target - very pleased with that0

Number 20 reporting in for November.
Oddly November felt really expensive (lots of social events), but the number don't lie and I saved a hefty £1950.
December is not going to be as successful, but it shouldn't be a negative month and my target has been blown out of the water. Unlikely to get any big raises in the coming year, so this year's number will be hard to beatSave 12K in 2018 #20 - £20,890/£18,000 (116%) November £1950

£237.63 for November, which doesn't sound like a lot, and I have actually spent more than I earned this month as well...
But most of my Christmas shopping is done, all my professional fees for 2019 are paid (a huge chunk of money!).
And after that I'd still hit target a month early, so I treated myself to something completely frivolous and aesthetic that I've wanted for ages which took me right back under target again. But next month!Start mortgage date: August 2022; Start mortgage amount: £240,999; Original mortgage free date: August 2056
