Just posted my final update for 2018. It is amazing that all those Tilly Tidy movements have mounted up over the year and I have exceeded our annual target. Thanks for all the support and little insights from other people - it is what makes this forum so powerful

Just updated for Dec & have reached my target of €12k! Absolutely thrilled! The PCP agreement on our car is ending shortly so we're going to buy it out using this money. So delighted we will be full owners of our car, it's a great feeling :-)0

Update form completed for the final month -
£500 to round up my yearly savings - Paid off a fair few credit cards so don't have that total now but I have saved it over the year.
I wont be so good next year as I am still off work sick - so pay has dropped.

Wrapping up 2018 with £3799.60 for December ... and a grand total of £46,636.17 for the year. Delighted with that, and it feels like long-term plans are really starting to kick in now.
Many thanks SF for running this challenge yet again, the last few years have really put me on the path. My spreadsheet tells me that I've saved £183,576.82 since my first one of these in 20130 -
Hi All, number 33 declaring £4100 for December bringing my total for 2018 to £29,200. Really happy with that. Already signed up for next year. Have a great Christmas when it comes everyone.0

I saved a grand total of... -£29,307 in November/early December - because we bought our house!!! :j:j:j
This has messed up the numbers a bit too much so I'm going to duck out for what's left of the year, but I've signed up to the 2019 thread with my post-purchase savings target :beer:
I'm amazed that only three years after I started saving I've managed to buy my dream house, and the two biggest factors have been MSE (especially this challenge) and YNAB... closely followed by finding a boyfriend and making him follow MSE and use YNAB
Thanks all for your support and encouragement, good luck for December savings, and see you all in 2019!
Fabulous news! Shows what you can achieve with regularly chucking away savings and a good motivation for all the rest of us!
Merry Christmas Everyone! :rudolf::xmastree:
Save 12K in 2020 # 38 £0/£20,0000 -
Well done everyone (including those who are in negative figures as a result of house purchases!!).
I've achieved my modest target for the year. I've probably said this in previous years but I do manage to save marginally more than this, with interest earned from my regular savers and almost £400 in my £2 pot for this year. I like to keep the sums simple for this challenge though!
This year's savings will go into yet another regular saver for 2019 (held in an instant access isa ready for transfer each month). I'll need to research new options soon though as I can't cope with too many more bank accounts! :rotfl:£12k in 2019 #084 £3000/£3000
