    Happy 2019 everyone!

Finally done accounts for Dec 2018 which came up to £1448.51. I could really do with cutting down on unnecessary Amazon shopping over the Christmas period.

    That a total of £20,041 over 2018.

Well done everyone!! Keep chipping away in 2019!

  • Happy New Year everyone!

My slightly belated end of year tally brings me to £2,924.29. A shade shy of £3k, but I still think I did bloody awesome! Thanks for letting me join in, and I am looking forward to more savings fun in 2019. :D

The total's not over a million this year - that's a shame! Not saying £870,000+ isn't amazing but it's always great when everyone together get over the million mark.
  • Apologes. I did save, but stopped posting. My total was £5,245. #80. Belated happy new year everyone.

Did we have fewer participants? Or is this is a sign of household financial stress that's being reported in the press?

I don't know Tara :( tho I did notice that a lot of people dropped out this year, but then people always drop out. It might be a combination of the two? I'd like to know.

Yes, could be a factor for sure. Savings probably the first thing to go if a person is stretched financially.

I think you are right. The other thing I think though, is the large number of January sign-ups who don't remember to set up the subscription to the thread (in thread tools!) and forget it or can't find it when they later look
