Hi all, hope it's ok to post as I'm not a 2018 saver, but reading through this thread is really REALLY giving me a massive incentive to jump on the 2019 bandwagon! :D

I am a self confessed spendaholic and I've had enough, quite frankly. 2019 is the year I'm going to save rather than spend. I'm approaching my late thirties and (other than for my wedding) I have never saved a dime in my life. :rotfl::o

Definitely ok to post! You are more than welcome to join us in 2019 :D

    Spreadsheet updated :)

Someone mentioned it being quiet on here - it's always the same. It starts off great then everyone disappears!

Let's finish the year off strong :)

  • Thanks for updating the spreadsheet SF. It is appreciated as always.

I haven't been particularly active on here recently other than logging my monthly amounts. However, being part of this challenge (and reading your blog) keeps me focused which I definitely need.

I'm another one saving for Financial Independence, Retire Early.
Mortgage paid off so I'm now maximising pension contributions. I've recently gone from part time to full time so I've shared the increased income into savings and spending. I do struggle with spending guilt though - but you have to live for today as well as save for tomorrow.:D

I don't post often, but I do update my totals each month & read other peoples posts.

I dropped off, I'm sorry. I started to lose track a little as we found a house to buy so all the savings have gone towards that. I will be back properly next year and it'll just be normal saving all year. Didn't plan to do the house thing till next year but I guess with the extra focus this thread helped with we were ready sooner.
