So added £1053.17 for July, just updated the spreadsheet - chaos since the holidays started so just found some time for an update!
We also bought a car so some savings have been taken out but I am not removing anything from this challenge as we have saved it before spending it so it shows what we have saved over the year, not including any outgoings!Grocery Challenge 2019 YTD-£820.46/£7200(11%)

Mid-month update from me - things are SO expensive with holiday coming up next week, a friend's wedding that's costing me a fortune and a few fairly expensive medical-type bills - and I'm only receiving about half pay for two months due to the job move. Trying reeeeally hard not to dip into my savings so I'm moving money about in my budget like nobody's business! The idea of reporting a negative number here is keeping me accountable though, so thank you guys for keeping me honest!0

Update from me for June and July, managed to add £950 each month to savings which is amazing considering how much I seem to have spent. I got my bonus in June and had hoped it would be a chunk more for my savings but it turned out I spent it about twice while waiting for it so it went to bash my credit card back down under control instead. Running a bit close to going back into debt at the moment so trying to avoid spending. I want to pay tomorrow’s credit card bill and then not have a credit card bill next month and live on my actual money rather than living a month ahead all the time.
Keep up the great work on here everyone! Can’t believe it’s August already!0 -

Hi,
I haven't posted here for a while, but I've tracked my savings.
In April I've managed to save £1,212.51. I've started to use make up every day so I had to invest in a make up kit. I went for a few fittness classes and I've ordered food more than usual. I had to buy a few kitchen supplies, too. It's my fault but I accidentally topped up my phone by not selecting the plan, just add it to a general balance, and I was unable to buy a plan from the general balance, so I had to top up my phone twice as usual
In May I've saved £1,165.51. This month started with a maintenance on the car for almost £200, including new battery. I bought a relatively expensive U-lock to my bike. I saved as much I could in the rest of the month to compensate the new battery's price.
In June I've saved a whopping £1,294.39. Tbh I have no idea how I did it. I went to the beach on one of the hottest day by train, spent a day there, eating lunch on the beach, etc. On one of the weekends I ate breakfast at a local pub, and I had a beer on Friday afternoon twice there, too.I've ordered many things from the internet for my holiday, I bought the transfer from and to the airport, too. I had a night out where I spent £50. So I seriously have no idea how I could still manage so much.
In July I've saved £1,082.33. We had a lunch in IKEA on me, I bought a lot of summer clothes for the holiday. I went on holiday, I had to take spare money with me. I ate on the plane, too.0 -
Declaring for August £750.00
Lower then normal due to having to pay of some maturing BT offers.

Just an update to say I don't think I'll be saving anything for August
I bought my daughter a washing machine! Having returned from Australia with a new baby and having to find a home, jobs etc it seemed a helpful thing to do
After all, what are new Nana's for?
