British version.
I have now tried 4 different (UK) Visa debit cards – on 2 different computers. Same problem each time.
Thanks for your help.0 -
The reason I asked about US/UK version is that the US version requires a US address and whilst there are ways around this sometimes the card will not go through. There have been the odd reported problems with Visa but I have generally had no problem.
Do you have access to a Mastercard or Amex?
It also pays to make sure your address matches with the address you have put into Priceline. If all else fails you could try the us site (but you would incur current conversion charges).
The knowledgeable folks at betterbidding.com might also be able to assist. They are very friendly over there.0 -
Thanks Laffer.
Should be able to give Mastercard a go this evening.
My address is pretty straightforward – I’m sure that isn’t a problem.
I have opened a discussion on betterbidding.com – no replies yet.

I've bid and apparently won a 4* hotel in Stuttgart on Name your own bid on Priceline. However, I can't log into the system with my email address it just doesn't have it on the system. When I try using the reservation numbers on the website direct it says no booking or name exists. I have been charged for this as well.
I've tried emailing them, the guy who has responded has said that the two priceline and name your own bid are seperate areas which is fine but the email he gave bounced straight away.
Finally, entering the actual queery on the own bid site is constantly ignored. I've sent 3 emails to them with no response. Only priceline.co.uk has replied.
Any help?
Thank you!0 -
Hi andykiko. That sounds frustrating. Did you not recieve an email confirmation of your win at the time of your bid being accepted? An alternative is to ring the hotel which you were accepted for and confirm whether they have your reservation. Sometimes this does not work as the Hotel only takes the guests details from priceline a short time before the reservation but if you are travelling in the next two weeks or so they may have you down.0

Thanks for the reply. It was a typo in the guys email address that he sent me which he corrected so I'll keep you updated.
The thing isn't for another 3 weeks so if nothing is sorted for another week I will have to ring them and do what you suggested.
The only confirmation I got was the "check your status" type email. When I clicked that it does confirm I've won.
Anyway, only thing I can do is see whether this new email leads me down any avenues.
Appreciate the response!0 -
Phew – found a fix.
Played around with address format (thanks laffer). I had left the county blank as I live in London. So eventually, I tried “London” for city and “Greater London” for County.
Success, a good saving:

I find pretty much every card I've ever tried on priceline us works (with a mugged US address-I picked a state and zip code at random -they don't coresspond with each other one is in Kentucky and one in Utah) I've used a co-op visa electron a normal visa -a prepaid mastercard etc.I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole

Just to put the record straight
The address you input bears no relation to the actual Credit\debit card used

From where did you get this (mis)information?0
