As you are going
It's not too early to reasearch locations and likely winning bids and most likely hotels.
Once you've done that then make a low bid and see what happens.
If unsucessful then wait a couple of weeks and try again.
Keep an eye on the Betterbidding forums for any "bargains" that may pop up.
I booked a PL hotel in LAX for June 12th back in January 11th as I'd got the tickets, done the research and the hotel was being won at a very low bid.0 -
Hi all.
I’m trying to book a hotel in Boston using Priceline.
When I submit an offer the website searches and after couple of minutes comes back with this message:
“We're sorry but we were unable to authorize your credit or debit card and could not process this request. Your card has not been charged.
If you are using a debit card, we suggest that you contact the issuing bank regarding any restrictions that may be present (e.g., limitation on number of daily transactions, daily spending limits). Most card issuers will lift these types of restrictions when requested by the cardholder.
If you can use another credit card or a different Visa or MasterCard branded debit card, you can try this same request again by entering your billing information below.”
I’ve tried a different card – same issue.
There are definitely sufficient funds in my account.
I have spoken with my bank who say there isn’t a problem.
Any ideas anyone?
Many thanks in advance, Michael.0 -
Have you tried emailing/calling priceline about this?

I have emailed Priceline.
They said they couldn’t offer any suggestions – other than to contact my back or try a different card. I don’t think they bothered to read my email properly – I explained I had already done both.
Still no luck. I have since used my card several times without issue – I am certain there is no problem with my card.0 -
I have also tried different computers (home & work) – same problem.0

Are you going through the British or US version of the website?0
