Dolly rocker, selling a car is absolutely de cluttering.
Moorviews, I know what you mean about losing your shine a bit. I have been like that for quite a few months, put weight on and was in a rut with clothes. I am feeling brighter again and have splashed out on a couple of new tops and a pair of trousers.I don't know what was going on but feeling brighter has enabled me to see someone about my car crash of a knee which feels like such a weight lifted. Hopefully you will feel brighter soon too.xx
Florenceem, a close friend of mine lost her husband last summer. She like you is keeping busy and she like you is doing so well. Grief catches my friend out at times. Such a hard time. xxx
Madam Mimm, you are on fire!
Dizzycap, what a charming garden you have.🌷
The family are here. All beds and the sofa full.We had a magnificent Vegan feast today which we all helped to make. Park run for several visitors tomorrow and then another meal before they all disperse.
I forgot to say my builder came round. He is our neighbour again as he was when I met him almost 40 years ago. He is hoping to make a start on the foundations for a retaining wall in the front garden and put a French drain in. He started working for a lady locally 15 months ago , building an extension on a listed house. Every time he comes to finish she find him more work. I wish I had the money to employ a team of builders for 15 months and counting!
Happy Easter everyone. Vx

Here we are in the twilight hours and I potted up / decluttered my Summer Lilies & Feesias @ 11.30pm tonight as it's so warm here 😂 and I was sick of the sight of them just sitting in the shed doing nothing! 😄 2 wash loads decluttered on the washing line at midnight before a welcomed coffee was more than due 🤗😉. I'll be up at 6am ready for the onslaught of the day which begins at 6.20am 😮 whether I sleep or not 😅😜, so hoping to get at least a couple of hours, that's if Missy Mo doesn't get me up needing something xxxxx She's just been outside doing her toilets and is now having her very late bedtime mini dinner before we go off to bed 🤗.
Hope to pop in again sometime either today or tomorrow depending on time and energy xxx Take care all and toodle-pisky for now xxxxx

Morning all. Weather is a bit strange but nice to have the lighter evenings. @Florenceem - thinking of you. It can be so hard but we gradually learn to live with the new reality. DH has been gone over 7 years now but I do miss him still. Silly things like when I am on holiday I think he would have loved this place but he won't ever see it. I have a very supportive family and friends like you which does help. My brother has been gone three years but when I stayed with sis in law last month she said how much she misses arguing with him about current affairs etc. They both used to get up very early and I think she particularly misses their talks over breakfast. She knows I am up early so will often message me as I will reply.
DGS4 decided he would stay here last night so he had to sleep in bedroom 2 where I have mattresses from bedroom 3 stacked up along with bedcovers and cushions. When I looked in he had built some sort of fortress and was asleep in the middle. DS2 had designated this a no phones and ipads weekend which is going quite well really although teenage sister a bit moody about it. Think we are having barbecue today but not sure about the weather. I took DGS4 shopping to get a new lampshade and bedside lamp for bedroom 3 and we got some new outside toys. He then decided we would start clearing a side of the garage for a lego building table which I had promised him - a few things were thrown away but I need a proper clear out on a sunny day. I think I will get those large foam tiles to put on the floor out there which we had at previous house. I am very lucky to have 2 other brick sheds so don't need garage for much. I could get car in there but it would be really tight and I have decent sized drive. He also emptied and washed out the outside toy box and sorted through various footballs etc in there. He washed and dried all the things, threw a few away etc. He then decided we would do gardening and he was pulling weeds and helping. We went to his dad's for tea but I was 'ordered' to resume gardening when we got back so I did cut the back lawn. We played snakes and ladders after his shower but I really struggled to sit on the floor.
I have thrown a few things in the suitcase but need to reduce it considerably. We are staying in my brother's house so really don't need much as there is a washing machine etc. Brother and partner are going on a cruise and prefer house not to be empty. My nephew is there this week but leaves the airport at about the same time we land. It is very isolated in the hills but there is a lovely swimming pool and grounds. There is also a cat to feed - not really theirs but it has adopted them and comes in the house now.
Right I had better get dressed - think DGS4 plans more gardening but I am sore from yesterday. He was pleased with himself yesterday as he took trolley back at store and person in front just dumped their trolley and rushed back to car. He put his trolley away and once he was sure the other person wasn't coming back he put their trolley away too and pocketed an extra £1 coin. He gave it to me for my savings pot!

Morning all xxxx
Strange mixed morning temperature wise. It's not sure if it wants to rain or be warm/cold. Typical Easter holiday weather 🙄😂. Up bright and early this morning with all tasks finished and completed by 8am, including a phone call. Wheelie bin decluttered at 8am, so that's been put back and now I'm catching up on my coffee 😂🤣. Babyface had a fantastic night and slep all the way through xxx She finally decided to get out of bed when I was finishing cooking her chicken livers, which she thoroughly enjoyed with her fresh veggies, 1/2 a weetabix, Mankua honey, and liquid multivitamins & minerals - Complete with all the munching, honking, and snorting eating noises to boot! That's my girl xxxx
I'm off out to collect / clutter up on a few bits which I ordered a few days ago for babyface, so wil be doing that very soon as the temperature has dropped and I think it'll get colder later. I'm going to clean up the office today as the desk is looking a little overwhelmed and declutter a pile of mail while babyface is sleeping. No gardening needed today and will probably snuggle up with babyface for a while, unless she wants to have a slow potter later this morning xxx
Hope eveyone has a lovely decluttering day - Take care all & toodle pips fopr now xxxxx

Thank you for the input on the veggies…it is much appreciated. I do usually make lots of soup but it's coming into the (supposedly) warmer months so I don't tend to make/freeze as much.
I still have to get rid of my dining table but have the grands for a few days now so it will have to wait.
Sending kind thoughts.

Morning all.
Still groggy from the meds. Good job I don't drive now - I was never confident behind the wheel.
Off to get dressed and out to my corps for a film about Holy Week followed by a fish & chip lunch so no cooking for me today.
Hope everyone has a good day.

I normally try to keep up with everyone's messages but I came home yesterday having decluttered a holiday and having cluttered myself with a bad cold. Well better at the end of the holiday than at the beginning. OH is about 2 days ahead of me with the cold so I know who to blame.

Saturday is rather a dull day with a high of 15°C (feeling 5° colder due to a brisk SSW wind) & a low of 8°C. DH has been a busy bee - up in time to accept delivery of his new passport, filled the bird feeders & fed the worms + replaced the faulty headlight bulb on the motorbike 👏

@Mrs_Salad_Dodger thank you for my gold medal
Not done any decluttering today, had to have a blood test done today and they managed to find a vein this time.
Me and DS enjoyed watching the Forest players train, it was a bit cold with the wind
I have done some washing and pegged that out, the wind is stong tonight but it hasn't rain as they say it was going to
