Thursday was a bright sunny day with a high of 11°C, low of 6°C & a very gentle N breeze. I ended up feeling sleepy at 09:00 so went to bed & got up at 15:00 ☹️ It is a good job I wrote the shopping list before I went to bed as DH & DSis headed off at 14:00 😉 I did have to phone DH as I had forgotten to add fish & quiche for Friday’s dinner 😬
Thoroughly enjoying the conversation about how much bed linen, towels & clothing we have in our homes ☺️ Not sure I dare count 😱 I put away the shopping when DH & DSis got back at 16:15. Apparently MrS was busy & is closed Friday. DH had made a vegetable soup. I spent the rest of the afternoon & evening knitting & watching TV. Dinner was chicken fried in a little oil, boiled new potatoes & peas. Wudupa

GrannyKate, sounds like the current round of decorating is almost done & just in time for your holiday 🙏 Now that is what I call customer service ☺️ Well done on the decluttering 👏 & good luck with the quiz 🍀
Soontobeoap, a bit of clutter is a small price to pay for the company of your family of lads 🥹 Hope the walk with the dogs wasn’t as exhausting as the theme park 😉
BlueJ94, that seems fairly restrained 😉
daisy_1571, I had to laugh at This “….However, we also have 2 blue ones mr d was meant to start using but he doesn’t like them so reverted back to the falling apart now pinky-red ones.” 😂 And I fell about laughing at This “Yeah, I’m daisy and I have a towel problem” 🤣
Sleep tight 😴

MadamMim2013 - thank you for the hugs.
Dizzycap - thinking of you both.
Morning all - change of plan for today. I was meant to be picked up at 8.50 to go to my bestie's corps walk of witness. There were going to be three of us but two of them are going to stay in the Church to get hot cross buns ready for after the walk. I just felt that I didn't want to do it without them. Yes I know some of the other people who will be there but decided not to attend.
I could go to a service at a local Church followed by a walk of witness in town. However the service is in a Church I attended with Mr F and I just can't do it.
I think reality of what has happened is hitting me now - especially when I am not busy. I have thrown myself into altering the house which is lovely but that wouldn't have happened without my loss.
Only someone who has lost a beloved husband can understand my grief.
My daughter and her husband are visiting me this afternoon.

Happy good Friday everyone, hope everyone is okay.
I've been very busy since I last posted
Selling on vinted has been good and some of my older items have gone, DS has sorted out some of his books he doesn't want anymore. I have also uploaded some clothes for my mum on her vinted.
Some more things have gone in to the charity shop bag, I forgot to take the magazines to college I have put them in my bag ready for when I go back.
Took some of DS's school trousers back and changed them, need to resort out his wardrobe.
I have put some more items on to freegle some came yesterday and some someone is coming on Sunday for some more things.
I have used a gift bag and some tissue paper from my stash.
This morning I sorted out the junk drawer and got rid of some instructions books, we don't need any batteries for awhile.
Some out of date food has gone in the bin.
Tomorrow we are going down to watch the Forest players train, DS is looking forward to it, to be honest I am as well.
Think that's it for now

I am on a roll at the moment as I haven't been feeling that well for the past week so I have been looking around my house at what needs doing. I have been working out what furniture and stuff to get rid of. I have been making a pile in one corner of the living room as if I keep seeing it all I will be more likely to find it annoying and want it gone out of the house.
So far I have a coffee table, a lamp, two vases, a plant pot, a desk tidy and the start of a donation bag that only has a coat in it at the moment.

I have done some more sorting in wardrobes and finding places to put things. There is one shelf in my wardrobe which I am avoiding dealing with as it is full of bits that I don't really know what to do with but will mostly keep. I used a make up bag to store my Pilates bands, which is much better than them being loose and has only taken me 3 years to think of!
One of my craft projects is finished and has gone off to a new home. The other is quite portable so there is no real excuse for not dusting the study now. to be honest, my whole house requires dusting. I am not feeling well though and am taking a little time out in the TLC carriage. Having vacuumed the whole of downstairs, that felt like enough. I ordered some new flat shoes in the sales. One pair has gone out as they were very worn out. I had to be strict with myself about not keeping them for wearing when decorating! If I decide to keep any more pairs I will have to let some more go to the CS. There are some good dresses (no longer comfortably fit) that I thought I might sell but I haven't done so in the last year. They will go to the CS too. I will soon have nothing smart left. I feel like a butterfly who is going back to being a caterpillar. Too much food bought yesterday for entertaining that now won't happen due to a somewhat sad situation. I need to find time and energy to process it to avoid waste.
@Florenceem - sending you more hugs. I know that those of us who haven't been through the same loss cannot understand. I am glad your DD will be with you this afternoon. Thinking of you from afar xx

Decluttered leftovers from last night.. yum! Is it too early to have a glass of rose? I picked this up to try as it was on Necta price for £7
Oh I also seen a Tiktok last night called "project pan" from what I can gather you use up all the items as much as you can and keep the empties and at the end of the month you see how much you use if that makes any sense? I find Tiktok a great way to get ideas for decluttering
