So just popped in to say that nothing much has happened here.
You wouldn't think I had decluttered at all if you looked at my house right now! I am amazed at what 3 young lads bring with them but when you take into account swimming trunks, clothes for all weathers, 2 prs of trainers each! 🤷 As well as their cosmetics and tech stuff it amounts to one large and one small suitcase! 🤣. I wouldn't have it any other way. Managed a small tidy up and clean round today including a pile of washing so that I can send things home clean to Mum. Went to theme park with them yesterday so shattered today. We are all off out in a minute to walk neighbours dog to get some exercise . This morning we went into town.
2 new chest of drawers for bedroom are arriving next week so I will have to get a move on after the weekend.

We have 2 green ones, 2 red ones. I use the green , Mr d uses the red. If in the unlikely event we didn't get one washed and dried same day, we therefore each have a spare. (We don't wash the towels every day).
that should be easy to store? However, we also have 2 blue ones mr d was meant to start using but he doesn't like them so reverted back to the falling apart now pinky-red ones. And loads of grey ones, hand, bath and sheet, from when we had paying guests for their bathroom. Also loads of 'dog' towels even though we haven't really had a dog for almost 5 years. Then we have fancy hand towels for putting in bathrooms for when someone comes to the house, kitchen towels for our kitchen, more hand towels for us to use in our bathrooms, hand towels for the guest quarters kitchen.
Yeah, I'm daisy and I have a towel problem

Decided to get rid of the car and just get a new one. It's been a bit of a money pit in the last 2 years and I thought if the parts are now discontinued it's likely that anytime anything goes wrong it's going to be off the road for weeks at a time.
I don't have the time to be off the road that long so found a Dacia Sandero 2019 plate with 47k miles for £5,295 so will be picking that up in the next few days.
It's so annoying I just felt like I was really getting somewhere with the mortgage overpayments and in the last month I overpaid £3,600 and now I need to replace the car!
So now that I have no savings I'll have to use a credit card to buy the car.
I've managed to get a 0% offer for 36 months. This will allow me to transfer around £3,100ish, will get a full confirmation when the card arrives.
I'll use my Tesco Clubcard CC to make the initial payment then do the transfer. Whatever is left on the TCCC I'll pay off as quickly as I can first cos that will be accruing interest.

@BlueJ94 - I'm gonna be in the far too many camp but I would need to do a count.

2 brushed cotton and 2 plain cotton sets so we have one on and another in the wash for both winter and summer. We have another set for the guest bedroom - yet to be used, no spare.
OH quite rightly did a tally on towels and we cleaned out a lot of older stuff and bought 1 set in blue and another set in yellow and swap those back and forth for the 2 of us. We have another set in crimson for our non existant guests. There are a couple extra bath sheets which I think we should discard but I haven't convinced him yet.
We have too many tea towels too but when I tried to trim down on that there was too much "but that's the one my mom got in XXX!!!" so we remain with an excess.

I have too many towels to count but they all get used (eventually!)
I put something on the side today and heard a cacophony of voices in my head saying, "Don't put it down, put it away!" So I did. Thanks go to you all for that 🤣
I watched sort your house out this morning….all those cubes! I have two similar units but oh my goodness 😯
Been for a nice walk with a friend, had coffee and a lovely history lesson from a group of volunteers on the Bradgate Park Estate. There's an ongoing restoration project on the ruins of Lady Jane Grey's childhood home and it was open today to see the work that had been done so far.
I also made tomato soup, fresh bread rolls and a lemon sponge cake. Left some in the tlc carriage.

Towels: 2 green bath sheets, 1 green hand towel, 1 green face cloth. 2 white bath sheets, 1 white hand towel, 1 white face cloths. I have very very long hair so I do keep a tote of white towels which are the perfect size when I wash my hair. But that’s all they are used for, oh plus 1 in each grab bag.
Duvet covers: 2 for DHs duvet, 2 for my duvet plus I use a coverless duvet at the moment too.
Decluttered under the kitchen sink this morning. Got rid of a lot of absolute rubbish like rusty scrubbers. Decluttered enough to fold the little plastic shelf and put that back in storage and also the top basket of a little 3 tier basket doings, now a 2 tier basket doings. Filled my big 5 litre white vinegar container with the smaller bottles, they went in recycling. Decanted Soda crystals to lidded plastic containers so that bag went in recycling too. Thoroughly washed out an empty spray bottle and refilled with white vinegar. It got really chilly here today. Did a whites wash so hope it’s okay tomorrow to get it on the line, especially as my DH has filled the laundry basket to overflowing again. We are planning to declutter his chest of drawers very soon. Oh boy that’s going to be a job.
Remade 2 summer nightdresses now too. Tonight I will make the second summer nightdress from the floral side of the old duvet cover. This is the pattern, so will have 2 the same but I don’t care.
Have planted some spring onions on the kitchen windowsill so I can keep snipping the tops to use. Also did well on the Easter veg bargains. Chopped the celery and froze flat for soups and stews, just got to do the same with the onions tomorrow as well.
Dinner was lovely fresh salads for us both with more of the better than half price gammon that DH cooked yesterday.
Have a good night all, sweet dreams xxSaving 1 animal wont change the world - but it will change the world for that 1 animal

J hung the mirror in my bedroom. He filled gaps where the walls were out with decorators caulk. It took him 11 hours to do all I wanted done.
I went into town for cash that I didn't get yesterday. I went to the blinds shop to pay a deposit on the craft room vertical ones to find it is closed until Tuesday. So I get to keep the money for a bit longer.
The floor place haven't contacted me about payment for the laminate.
My Dil came along in the car while I was waiting for a bus so she took me to the shopping centre. I had click and collect at Dunhel, and then went to the rang. for a rubber mallet for when we assemble the Ike. units.
I have been trying to get rid of all the dust in the downstairs - sweeping then hoovering. Then I will mop.
I was impressed by my Doctor - I only put a request in at midday - it was triaged and they phoned me. I can take more of the medication and I have an appointment booked.
