Good morning and Happy Easter to all. We always used to have a family gathering at ours Easter and September and late DH took photos of all the 8 grandchildren together so I have several of those but pretty impossible to get them all in the same place at the same time now. I carried on with Easter Eggs hunts for any that were here but DD and I decided last year that it was the last time. They are between 11and almost 21 now. Nice barbecue at DS2s yesterday after DGCs had been playing outside at mine most of the day. We got some new outdoor toys and they both had fun on DGS4's new bike. More tidying up in garage - setting up lego work area and some more tat binned. It is lovely outside now and guess I should get outside whilst I can. There are some frogs to do but hopefully I can get some done tonight and tomorrow. Suitcase is packed for next weekend and our Portugal holiday.
DS1's wife (DIL1) had a low impact bump with car yesterday - she is fine but her little and quite old car will be written off. A little more gardening done yesterday including mowing the front lawn. I think house cleaning and tidying will need to to wait until after carpet is laid in bedroom 3 next Thursday. Sox came in late last night miaowing loudly but thankfully he had only 'caught' a large old bird feather and not a live mouse. He was still very proud of himself. Looking at possibility of flying out to Stockholm with DD to meet DSis from US when she is there in July.
Time to get dressed - have a lovely day everyone.
383 More garage sorting and cleaning - there are some bits for the tip which I may do tomorrow
384 Weeding and digging
385 Front lawn mowed
It is quite reassuring when I see pictures of other people's gardens as I know I am not the only one with an out of control jungle/junk yard to tackle. I need to spend money on the house so the garden just gets what I can manage in small bits at a time.

Hello everybody
Happy Easter!
Just popping out of the tlc carriage to say my new sofa purchased in the pre-xmas sale was finally delivered last week and is soooo comfortable, I'm really pleased with it. The lounge is still mostly empty which is encouraging me to declutter the smaller stuff but the dining room is now chocka with the old sofas so I need to arrange for them to be collected.
Sending hugs to those who need them - there's plenty of room in the tlc carriage.
Herewith pic of the bunny-approved sofa - that's the best Easter link I can manage today😉

Sunday is a brighter day with some sunshine but still very windy after last night’s very high winds. The forecast is for a high of 13°C (feeling 6° colder due to a strong W wind) & low of 7°C Straight into cheerleading as I am still a couple of pages behind - starting with posts dated the 3rd
vulpix, you are very welcome & thank you for my ⭐️ & 🎖️& especially the ❤️ which I have added to my signature 🥹 A lovely cheerleading post ☺️ I am especially pleased to hear that you have seen someone about your knee & am hoping that something can be done to help you 🙏 How wonderful to have your family staying 🥹 How amazing to have the same neighbour that you had almost 40years ago 🤩 & how fortuitous that he is a builder ☺️
Dizzycap, now that is what I call above & beyond 😅 Gardening & doing the laundry so late in the day - 11:30 p.m. & midnight 🤩 Hopefully Babyface (& being pain free 🙏) let you get the maximum amount of sleep available 🤞
Now starting on posts dated the 4th
GrannyKate, DGS4 has certainly been keeping you busy 😉 I am just trying to remember the decluttering styles & it sounds like DGS4 is a bit of a butterfly - flitting from task to task & taking you with him 😉 I am keeping everything crossed that he lets you get some rest during the remainder of his visit 🤞 How lovely that he gave you the £1 coin rather than keep it himself ☺️ Good luck with your packing & I hope that the weather is kind for both you & also for DB & partner on their cruise🤞
Dizzycap, pleased to hear that Babyface slept through the night 😊 hopefully a sign that she is almost recovered 🙏 Good luck tidying up the office
surprisinglynice, I am still waiting for spring to start 😉 as despite the sunshine it is still cold enough for soup ☹️ Good luck selling the dining table once the ‘grands’ visit is over 🍀
Florenceem, sorry to hear that your meds are making you feel groggy 😞 Hope you enjoy the film & your fish & chips 😊
Brie, hope you had a lovely holiday 😊 despite coming back with a bad cold ☹️ Hopefully you will recover quickly🤞
You are very welcome Deb4 😊 Fingers crossed that the results of the blood test are OK & that your washing dries on the line🤞
Florenceem, I have no words so will send cwtches 🤗
BlueJ94, fingers crossed that you can keep the cold at bay 🤞
I keep nodding off so will post & come back later 👋 Hope everyone is having as good a day as possible 😊

Not really decluttering but we used up some paint, decking screws and cable ties building a picket fence to contain our naughty ducks. We bought picket fence panels and made feet for them so we can move them. I don’t like digging in our garden because its so heavy and it means we can move them if we need to. They now have a long section of garden on the left and a walkway to their secure enclosure and houses. It’s quite funny because we have a little wall on the left and our fat pekin ducks can’t get up but our beautiful runner ducks just hop up. It’s like a selective haha. The runners are good ducks so we don’t mind if they come out. Second photo is the ducks last year when the pekins were still babies.

Suzeesu, many Birthday wishes for your Mum. xx
Dizzy cap, what a lovely figure. You are talented.
dND. Gosh, what an epic task. The camelias are putting on a good show.I got DS to dig a hole in the back garden yesterday. Turns out there's a few inches of soil then solid rubble where I wanted the apple tree to go. Poor thing will have to stay in it's pot a while longer.
Granny kate, You are not alone with a wild garden. I will post some pictures of my front garden and you will then all feel better about your own!. Pics before and after.
Good job there Green hopeful
Our visitors have gone. The house is very quiet. My knee pain is the worst it has ever been but it was worth it.Lots of lovely food left overs too. Mr V is working tonight. We are having a pottering day today to recover.
Amongst all the chaos yesterday someone from the thrift group came to collect a roll of roofing felt. They are building a wood store.

Evening all. A belated Happy Easter everyone. Hope everyone has had a good day.
That nice man in the sky sent some lovely weather today just so I could get some washing dry, wasn’t that kind of him. Did another load of darks ready to go out in the morning and then just one more will see laundry bin empty thank goodness.
Dinner was fridge and freezer.
Preped a whole bag of onions, into a bag and frozen flat. Got some bacon and pastry out for cheese and bacon thingies and possibly a nice cheese, onion and bacon quiche tomorrow. While that’s in the oven I should make a start on the parsnips and carrots.
Thanks for mums birthday wishes @Mrs_Salad_Dodger, mums in the phase where they are just keeping her comfortable, the nurse and staff are really wonderful, I’m so grateful.Have a wonderful Easter Monday all, God bless and sweet dreams xx
