So chuffed. Yesterday I got paid and got £23 more than usual which I added into my % pot... then sold something on ebay, won £20 and so now im up to 5% not a great amount in the grand scheme of things but my first debt that is in the £1500 is only £126 so i'm hoping by the end of next week that will be clear!! Got some road kill to take to HSBC and also some clothes to take to the cash for clothes place.

    Hi all,

Really must try and get into selling on Ebay :o - you all seem to be doing so well with it.

I had a stall at a craft fair yesterday - it was a bit slow but i did make £36 after stall costs. Plus before I went I checked my cash box and found that I had load of £1 coins in there so emptied out £15.

    That means I have just raised £51 - another 1% :j

I wont declare it until I pay it into the bank on Monday though.

Plus our boiler has gone wrong so I'm gonna have to call someone out to look at it tomorrow - I'm waiting until then though as don't want costly call out charges for an emergency call at the weekend :( Its freezing though - thanks heavens for our gas fire in the lounge :o

On the plus side its just been pay day so we do have money in the bank - lets just hope its not too expensive - not what we need after our dream holiday :(

Well done everyone on all your %'s :T

  • Hi :)
So we are 5 weeks until completion on the house yay!
I went part time 3 weeks ago, but have not actually had a day off as all my days off have been spent doing extra supply!!!! Defeats the object perhaps but in terms of happiness, my stress levels have gone right down with less worries about my job. Moreover, been really enjoying working in another school!
As from this month, our totals are:
    Debt 1: 8000 (0 paid)
    Debt 2: 2500 (2500 paid 100%)
    Saving 1(Car balloon payment) 2500 (1250 50% saved!)

I am intending to save 10% a month of car payment for another 6 months then just keep that in bank hopefully earning some pennies. Once we have got final completionstatement and everything paid for house then we will know how much we can give straight to parents. All extra work going on paying debt 1 off asap so we can save for wedding!!!!
So just about to list things on ebay... here goes!
Hope your boilers get sorted Craftingmad and happytails, what a nightmare :(

Good luck! I'm also up to my eyes in books, dvds, clothes and gadgets I will be listing this weekend.

I looked up some of the books I have and Fat Brain offered me £25 for a design book I bought for a few quid years ago, so I will post that tomorrow and it can go towards my first 1%

    How do I officially join? £5960 debt so 1% = £60

I will report back once I'm at my first milestone.

    Hi everyone.

Just paid off another 6% = 28% paid to date :j

That leaves £1800 left to pay on the car, I can concentrate on paying something else off then - oh it just never ends lol.
