Wow, that's really good. You might have mentioned before, so sorry if you've already said but what do you make to sell at these craft fairs?

Well nothing has gone to the overdraft :( the boiler is costing us £300 and we've had a wee splurge over bank hol weekend. Hoping to put more than the minimum on the CC so at least that will go up and sort out 1/2 our holiday in June too.

I'm planning a mass eBay sort through ready for next free listings as none of my 9 items sold from last week :/

    Hey all,

Hope you've had a nice bank holiday weekend! We do tend to slip down a few pages when it's nice weather out, folks are making the most of the sun and rightly so :D I'm very glad you all come back with updates, it's really motivating - plus I love hearing what you are all up to!

I could do with getting a few more percents rolling. Everything is pretty much set up and being paid off automatically now - just slowly.

I'm considering taking on an evening job to speed up the number of extra payments I can make but I worked 2 jobs from Nov 2007 to Feb 2010 and just ended up burnt out and fed up. I missed out on a lot of family occasions and don't want to do that again if I can help it.

Keeping my eye open for my next contract as I'm in my final month now. Ideally looking for something work from home as that would give me a bit of flexibility to do some of my own writing during the day too and get some running done too.

Will do a proper update on my percents soon, I'm just waiting to hear back from the ombudsman about the last of my charges then I'll know where I stand. It could clear a whole debt and selling my computer could clear another! That would just leave 3 left to go! :T
  • Just checked the overall status, I am actually amazed!!!

I have paid off 21% of the 100!!!!. Ebay has been the main source of income, I know it can be stressful listing numerous items and then annoying people behind you in the queue when you got to post them!!! But if you keep the goal in sight and keep motivated it will happen.

I dont think i will be at 100% by the end of June as i had planned but i will be somewhere near.... There are alot of things happening locally that may distract me from paying a few %'s, But hey, life is for living and as long as you are progressing it cant hurt to enjoy yourself sometimes!!!

I have thought about finding an evening/weekend job to supplemnt the %'s but i think the stress of a wife abandoned with two young boys would negate the benefit.

The best thing about this method is the challenge you lay down to yourself, i suppose that i am quite competitive and am always thinking about the next % (only £11 in my case) and the next. Just wish the wife would buy into it as much as me!!!

Still here, making 0 progress ATM. Boiler was fixed today so £300 gone and I need to make £90 sharp ish for my deposit for our holiday. Then I'll be back on the bandwagon. Trying not to feel disheartened as I've come so so far already since I joined this thread x
