Hi everyone,
Been on the hunt for "roadkill" this weekend because we always have money in the most random places... I found money in candle holders, the washing gel cap on top of the washing machine, bottom of old bags, on the fireplace in the bedroom. You name it I found it! Put it in a money bag and into a shrapnel jar as we already have a £2 coin / note jar. Think I found around a fiver and so when its pay day and I go into town on Friday I will pay it into my HSBC account and add it to my % Its very slow coming even at just £15 for 1%
Ive opened a few survey accounts to try and get the odd % from there and still have a fair few bits for eBay. Want to get to 10% by end of May!DFW - Feb 2016 £19k
Mortgage Savings - £500
Baby 2 on Board - 7 Weeks
Working towards my 30th and have a 3 year plan to be debt free, business built and own our house!0 -
Well just secured a £70 sale
, Musicmagpie emailed me to say they are processing my order so that will be £20 on the way. 2 friends owe me a total of £33 too.
got a £10 off a £35 shop at Morrisons too which im planning to use to buy a load of tinned stuff and ingredients we need for our own sauces/meals etc. Only had 3 evening take away meals this month, so proud of that (all 3 were just for me and the husband. Probably about £40 altogether), had a couple of ice creams etc from Mac donalds in the day but again this has massively decreased.
Feeling very positive today, not sure why as if we manage to clear the overdraft we will be majorly skint in May but if we get through that then we will be steaming ahead in reducing our debts and moving our DFD forward from mid 2015 to late 2014 :T

Hi there, member 187 reporting 4%.
I posted last in January, and February was a total write off.
In March I made a £150 additional payment, and in April it was £250 additional payment, meaning £400 = 4% to add to my total.
I do have a load of stuff for ebay, but never seem to get around to listing them, but I have some time off coming up in May, so it can wait til then.
In January I started going to a slimming club. The upside is that I have now lost almost 2 stone, and many of my old clothes no longer fit properly. I have bags and cases full of clothes in the loft that I haven't seen in 2-3 years, and so I will be going through those. It'll be like getting new clothes without having to spend money. I will look into selling whatever I don't want, as there should be several kg's it will probably be worthwhile doing.
I've been finding it hard to stay focussed, my employer has been talking about redundancies since April last year. It looks like my job will be going to India, it's just a case of when. I will get a reasonable settlement, and as it will cover my debts I've felt like it hasn't been so urgent to save my %'s.
Anyway, I feel like I'm regaining my focus again, so I'm ready to get going on the second half of my %'s.I wanna be a saver, not a spender but first...

Great going everyone!
I always like to pop on here in the afternoon to see what everyone is up to. It always gives me a big boost of motivation! :j
The next few weeks of my contract are going to be hectic as the project I'm working on (putting in all new I.T equipment) is in full swing. From the plan that's been drawing up it seems I'll be here until the end of June (1 month extra)
Fingers crossed the big bosses approve it! It would really make a big difference to keep my money system running smoothly.
We're dog sitting for a friend soon, we will get a bit of extra cash for that as it's saved them a fortune in kennels. Although it will probably just be spent on dog treats and taking him on some nice walks. Want to make sure the dog has his own little hol!
I need to have a BIG sort out of paperwork and get organised wth my important documents. I've realised that when things are a hassle to do, I put them off - which usually ends up costing me more time or money in the long run.
My fivesquids gigs are going well, getting one or two a week now. The wedding bookings are taking off. Never been so booked up in advance, got lots for 2014 already! I'm excited thinking about it and my bf is so chuffed it's starting to pay off!
Think I will have a whizz round to gather up some spare change from all of the hiding places like NikNok suggested.
Fantastic slimming progress iwannabeasaver - life changing no doubt! :T My friend did a huge car boot with her different sized clothes, after she changed sizes so dramatically. She got a clothes rail from Argos, hung them all up in size order and she said they sold out in 15mins!!!0 -
Put my £70 earnings today towards my British gas bill of £86 to close my account. Grr really wanted to put it towards my Overdraft but atleast the bill is paid.DFW Total £21,800 to clear by Dec 2022

Can I join please.
I am finally getting my head out of the sand sorting my old debts and dealing with my finances.
I have multiple small debts but am on a very low income so focussing on one debt at a time.
The first one is £864 rent debt and so 1% is £9.
I already pay £4 a week off this debt so am going to pay an extra £5 a week so that its 1% off the total each week.:T Head out of the sand and into the finances! :T0 -
Hi all, great work on all your percenting. Sorry I've been a bit off radar lately, I do try and read updates as much as I can...
Great news about the wedding bookings and potential extra month contract LMUD, that's brill.
We have been beavering away at ebay in particular this month - helping to declutter our parents' houses by filling our spare room with stuff to sell - did particularly well this weekend, had numerous listings finishing from the last FLW and managed to sell TWENTY items!!! Once everyone's paid and all fees have been paid I'll see about £160 of it so that's pretty good, considering a lot of it was relistsBit of a struggle getting it all to PO, but took 4 in today, and have got a bag of 8 packed up to take tomorrow, and the rest haven't yet paid so I'll hopefully be able to do that Thursday to combine with my working from home day when it's much easier for me to get to PO.
In other good news my OH found out today that she's back up to full salary this month, which is great considering she's been on statutury sick (plus any hours she's been able to do since Jan) since September. So come the end of the month we will be able to pay a bit more off and looking increasingly likely that when I make start of the month payments in June we'll be debt free entirely!!! Can't wait. And really have this forum, in particular this thread, to thank for giving me the inspiration to really tackle our debt head on. Amazing to think that back when she went into hospital we owed practically 10 grand, guess her illness was a good kick up the butt to get our finances sorted. Can't believe I've stuck at it this long, it's been a lot of effort but totally gonna be worth it. Then we can start saving for a deposit!
I can't remember what I last declared, but I'm now up to 51% made and paid, so, #164 - 51% paid which is £4590 :j:j:j - the last few percentages have come primarily from ebay sales, including my wedding dress, plus the odd bits like transferring over bank account reward from Halifax.
You'll all be pleased to know that this weekend is a FREE LISTINGS WEEKEND ON EBAY, so get those items ready, and to save time at the weekend set them up on the scheduler for as far in advance as you can. Then at the weekend go and edit them to start immediately - such a great tip!
