Kindofagilr and Beachbeth, try not to put yourselves under too much pressure, easier said than done I know, I'm sure that come the holidays you will both look fabulous, despite what you think! I invariable find that there is ALWAYS, ALWAYS someone bigger than me on the beach and they are usually wearing a bikini it's all about having the confidence to carry it off. Keep telling yourself how great you look and once you've convinced yourself everyone else will follow suit. Ok now I've just got to listen to my own advice!!

Thanks lo-bush. Once Im on holiday I will concentrate on enjoying myself but I want to eat healthily and try to lose some weight beforehand.

Although I treat myself to a fry up on a couple of the mornings, most days I go for the healthier options at brekky and love the yoghurt and fruit. Although I really love toast with apricot spread or marmalade and the orange juice too!

For lunch I go for a salad but if Im hungry I have a dinner. In the evening its dinner or rice and chicken and I usually have cake and jelly for pudding. So it won't be all low calorie or low fat but its only for 2 weeks so I won't beat myself up about it.

As you say, there are always plenty of people bigger than me but then I'll see a young, slim and attractive person and I feel fat again!

If I could be stretched up to about five foot four then I wouldn't be so plump!:p

I love doing my own wedges in the oven and don’t use any oil - just cut into wedges, chuck on a baking tray and cook for about 40 minutes at 190 - mmmmm I especially like doing this with new potatoes still in their skins!!

This is how I make the chips :)

Peel and chop your potatoes into chips, then I put them into a freezer bag and add one teaspoon per person (2 syns) and I mix the chips all up with the oil (sometimes I put a teaspoon of marmite in as well).

Then I put them on a baking tray on some baking parchment and cook them on 190 for 20 mins, then turn them over with a fish slice and cook them for a further 15 mins

(I also at the halfway stage put a B's worth of bacon in the oven, and 5 mins before the chips are done I crack an egg on my chips which gives me a lovely healthy fried egg)

As for the pizza I havent cooked it yet, but people bring it in all the time at the tasters

You get a bag of smash, and mix it like it says on the packet but at class they tell you to only use half the water it tells you to use

Then you make it into a ball, put it on a pizza tray then squish it out into a pizza shape.

Then you put it in the oven to harden the potato, bring it out, turn it over and cook it a little bit more.

Then you bring it out, put Passata on (which I am told is free), then whatever else you want, then you put your cheese on (you can have 42g catherdral city light) and cook it till the cheese is melted

Sorry for the vaugness but I havent actually cooked it yet, I am going to have a try tonight

And the ones I have tasted at slimming are sooooo nice, you can pick it up like a proper pizza lol.

BeachBeth- yeah thats for a meringue nest :) so yeah you could put half in if you wanted?

lo-bush thank you :) I know I am slowly building up the confidence to wear a bikini cos I know there will be bigger people there than me, and as horrible as it sounds, my whole family are bigger than me, and they will all be with me

But like beachbeth said then I will set eyes on a skinny person and my confidence will go down lol

I just need to tell myself I look great, and I have my OH with me and who cares what anyone else thinks

    Hi all
I'm quite new to this thread having only posted once, although I read it most days.

I just got back from my holidays & got weighed at home this morning & I put on 9lb! I'm gutted! It was March the last time I went to class & this means I'm now a stone heavier than my tagrget!

I'm determind to get back on track as I go on another holiday in 9 weeks & want to be back at my taget. I'm trying to decide if to go back to class or just follow at home & report my weight here & get support from you all.

Does anyone know if I will have to rejoin if I go back to class or what happens as its been months & I'm so far out of target??

Yes you will have to re-join. I bought 12 weeks including joining fee and summer eating book for £50 which I thought was good value.

.................plus it will keep me going knowing I have paid upfront:o:D
But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.

Did you declare target at class? if so if you were in target the last time you went, I think you dont have to rejoin, I think you go get weighed, they see that you have gained weight and are therefore out of target, then you pay from the next week till you get back into target

Consultant on here will be able to verify it, but I am sure thats what my leader said?
