^^ I am the same as you!!!!
I go on holiday in 4 weeks, and I am feel fat, it doesnt help star is due on friday and I feel bloated as hell.
I am currently struggling within myself deciding on wether to wear a bikini on holiday or a bather? I am not massivly overweight (about a stone over I think for my height) but I (at the minute) dont feel confident enough to wear a bikini, even though last week I did feel confident enough?
I dont know if its cos star is on her way that I feel all blergh and fat and horrible, so not sure I should make any decsions on what to wear swimming wise till after star is over?
But yes I am in need of some insperation as well this week.
I have had a super week so far slimming wise (my week starts on friday) so fingers crossed the scales are good to me on thursday night (BUT I am worried as like I say its star week and I have been known to gain 3 pound on star weeks) and even if I do gain this week I will know it is down to star cos I Have stuck to the plan 100% it will still make me down
Sorry that turned into a mega rant lol
On a plus note, I checked the syn value of Aunt Bessie Yorkshire Pudding Batter Mix (box of 12) and they are def only 0.5 syns per pudding
They are the ones that are the premade batter in little foils and you put then in the oven for 20 mins, they were 2.5 syns but Aunt Bessie have changed the ingerdiants and I worked it out on the syns calcualtor on the SW website last night and they are 0.5.
Make sure if you are getting some that you pick up the ones that say 'New and Improved' and the Kcal per pudding is 9.8kcal they are the 0.5 syns ones, the older ones have 49kcals and they are 2.5 eachDebt £30,823.48/£44,856.56 ~ 06/02/21 - 31.28% Paid OffMortgage (01/04/09 - 01/07/39)

Im the same as you, kindofagilr. I need to lose a stone too and Ive decided I won't wear a bikini on holiday. I have some one piece bathers but also have some tankinis which are bikini-like without showing all that flesh.
It was my star week last week but I still feel flabby this week (Im sure you are feeling this way because its your star week though, unlike me)
My weight all tends to pile onto my stomach and when it starts to pile on just under my bust as well then I know Im overweight. When I put a nice t-shirt on I just find myself looking at that area and hating the flab there. Im going to really try not to overeat and overdrink but my problem is that Im on the pill (mainly because I have bad periods rather than because of its contraceptive properties.).
I should have started taking my next packet last Thursday but have been putting off taking that first pill because I know I will immediately want to start eating rubbish! Ive changed my pill a few months ago to see if there was a difference but my new pill is just the same.0 -
Awww hugs
Yeah I was talking to OH about it last night, cos he wants me to wear a bikini cos he thinks I am sexy and gorgeous (bless him lol) but I explained to him last night that I feel like he is putting pressure on me cos I want to wear a bikini for him but I want to feel comfortable at the same time? and he said sorry this morning and told me to wear what I felt comfortable in, I am just kicking myself though cos I have had ages to get this weight off before hols but I have been yo-yoing the last few weeks
I have been looking at the strapless bathers to get cos I am best (wo)man for my brother in Cyprus for his wedding (I am wearing the same dress as the bridesmaids but in his colours) and its a strapless dress so I dont want strap marks lol
But I had thought about getting a tankini as well, cos to be honest its my belly I am bothered about, the rest of me is fine, I like the rest of me lol, its just my belly, well my hips really, you know your sides?
I just dont know what to do lol, I def think I wont be wearing a bikini but its wether to go for tankini or bandeau bather?
You really sound like me, its belly and stuff, what pill are you on?
If I managed to lose 6 pounds before hols that will take me to 10 stone 13.5 and I know I will feel great in the 10's I havent been there since I was 18, so I may feel more confident about myself, but I am scared for weigh in this week cos of star week
I was on microgynon and then the mini pill and I was ok eating wise with them?

Im on microgynon. Even as a teenager I found it easier to keep slim when I wasn't on the pill so it definitely has an effect. I crave all the fattening stuff - cheese (I love laughing cow!) and crisps but after Ive had a meal I always want something sweet. Im not one for hot puddings but I love cakes (I manage not to eat too many though) and I bought a value pack of teacakes (the chocolate and marshmallow with the jam at the bottom!) last week and my and OH and I ate them in a couple of days!
Ive had scrambled egg and beans followed by a muller low fat yoghurt for brekky. For lunch Im going to have a salad, probably with a hard boiled egg and Ive decided to do the Slimming World sweet and sour chicken for tea as my DD2 loves this too. She will have some normal chips with hers and we will both have rice. If I want something sweet after Ive got some chocolate fingers that I can have and count as syns.
Its just when I get the craving for a nice cool malibu in the garden that I will falter. It won't be so bad if my OH comes home and doesn't drink. But I will try my best. Gonna get one of my exercise dvd's out too later.0 -

Could you just miss your weigh-in this week? Either that or resign yourself to the fact that it will be a bad weight and that whatever the scales say you are going to ignore them as being water retention. Then concentrate on the next weigh-in as being the correct weight.
I have hovered between a size 8 and a size 10 all my adult life and although this might seem wonderful to some people, Im only just 5 foot tall and I am quite chubby! When I was a stone and a half lighter (about 7 years ago) I was an 8 all the time but now Im usually a 10 unless the clothes are a larger fit. (I can post a picture if no one believes Im overweight!!!:p)0 -
I am the same as you with regards to Malibu I love the stuff, have you tried drinking a shot of it in a pint glass with pepsi max or diet coke? it still tastes lovely but lasts longer and is only 3.5 syns per 25ml (I think I Havent checked in a while lol)
Or if you want something sweet, sometimes I chop up some strawberries mix it with strawberry yogurt and crumble a meringue in there (2 syns), or have a highlights hot chocolate (2 syns)
Do you make the slimming world chips? or the slimming world pizza? they are both really good as they make you feel like you are eating rubbish lol but your not?
And crisps, I am a massive crisp fan and I WILL NOT do without them lol but I have changed the crisps I eat from normal walkers to like quavers, or skips, or wotsits?
Can you ask the doctors? I remember having something when I was about 16 or 17 cos I had really bad periods too, and it wasnt the contreceptive pill but it was a tablet to make the periods lighter? then that way you could get off the pill?
If you like laughing cow you can have 6 x extra light triangles for a A or a syn each, also have you tried cathedral city light cheese its lush and you get 42g
I feel for you though, my OH is skinny as hell, he eats a massive dinner albiet a SW one, then he goes to the cupbaord gets two twirls and about 3 packets of crips then eats about 4 ice lollies, its totally unfair lol
No I think it will be best for me to go to weigh in, I Have been so super good on the plan this week, so I just hope something good happens on Thursday lol
Awww 8 to 10 lol yes it does lol, but if you think that you need to lose weight or aren’t happy with your weight then you are def doing the right thing
I am 5 foot 7, 11 Stone 5.5 and currently a size 14

Going to my one and only meeting tonight - weighed myself last night and was shocked to see I am tipping 12 stone
whats worse is its all on my bum and thighs so buying trousers etc is a nightmare as to get them to fit me I have to buy a 16/18 but its then massive on my waist (14).
I used to have a lovely hourglass figure but it seems as if gravity is starting to win!!!0 -
Why your one and only meeting?
I felt the same as you, when I started I was 12 Stone 8.5 and I was shocked I had no idea I was that heavy(it seemed like that heavy to me as I had always been in the 10 stones)

These are good tips. Thanks. I will try measuring out my Malibu and putting a lot of lemonade or coke in it with ice. I usually just splodge a load into a glass and tell myself its only a drink and therefore can't be fattening!:o
The strawberries, yoghurt and meringue sounds lovely. I shall give it a try. Do you mean one whole meringue nest? I could probably do this with half or quarter of a nest and it would satisfy my sweet craving. I have some strawberries in the fridge at the moment so when I go to town later I will buy some meringue.
I havent got round to trying the slimming world chips yet but will try this and the pizza too.
Ive read earlier on this thread that people have had trouble making the chips. Can anyone post their fail safe way of making them for me?0
