Hello, am I allowed to stay here?
Am feeling quite happy today! Made quiche and brownies and someone bought something from Amazon Marketplace which I put up. Plus job number 1 rang up and I now will be working in July, and I found a place that actually has vacancies for job number 2 which I'll apply for.0 -
hello Nickim, of course you are allowed to say here, we are a nice bunch, welcome xx:j0

Happy birthday Pooky
(((hugs))) to anniestar, smokybabe, Penny Pincher and grannybroon. Many apologies to those that I've missed - not intentional at all. (((hugs))) to everyone that needs them.
We've just had some lovely spag bol, even if I do say so myself.
It was defrosted, so tasted even better that when I first made the batch.
I got back from school today to find a free copy of Moneywise in the pile of post. I'd requested a free copy through MSE, not expecting to get one. Anyway, it seems that it's an easy read (as in it's in plain english!) and there's even an article from our esteemed leader - ie Martin! :money:
I've received my stewards' rota today for the local "International Music Festival" that I volunteered for, so I a) get to meet some more locals and b) get to see some great performers and hear fab music. It starts in 3 weeks time, so hopefully Ofsted will have been to school by then........
Yes, we're still waiting for "the phone call" to say that Ofsted will be revisiting us. As the school is in Special Measures, we get visited once a term to make sure that we're still on the right track. As it is, all the children have done really well in their Year 2 SATs so hopefully we're one step closer to getting out of SM.
The Deputy Head asked me today (well, told me! Not exactly a choice!) whether I'd like to stay in Year 2 next year. At least I won't have to move classrooms! Phew! I also vaguely know which bunch of children I'll be teaching. Some of them are sweethearts, and others.............. well, are "challenging" to say the least. Hopefully I can tame them. :rolleyes:Sealed Pot Challenge #021 #8 975.71 #9 £881.44 #10 £961.13 #11 £782.13 #12 £741.83 #13 £2135.22 #14 £895.53 #15 £1240.40 #16 £1805.87 #17 £1820.01 #18 £2021.83 declared0 -
Hi All. Not managing to get on here daily, but love and ((HUGS)) to all who need them. Am feeling totally "down" today for some reason. I do have cystitis so that's not helping, but feel very weepy. Part of it is the looming end of term and all that has to be fitted in before then - everyone is pretty touchy at school, and very tired - all those reports to get finished as well. I also feel sure we're going to get the OFST** call before the term ends too - but we've been expecting that for the past two years and frankly I can't live at this heightened stress level much longer!!!
Sorry for moaning, especially when many of you have far more to feel miserable about than I do.Resolution:
