morning all :hello:
have just gone to the local pharmacy to get my BP recorded, I have to get it done every month for this diet. It was fine, never been a prob, but always nice when you 'pass'!
Picked a dozen eggs from a free range place just down the road £1.60. The original farm has been sold in the last few months and I was a bit anxious that I would have to get them from the supermarket, where they cost more for 6 than I was paying for 12. But another farmer, more or less in the same place, bought the farm, so I can still get cheap FR eggs, very locally (only 0.2 of a mile from the house)
sorry to hear of the losses and illness written here over the last few days. I will be thinking of you and sending you hugs0 -
Kyle hope DS1 gets better very soon. Take care.(((((((((((HUGS)))))))))Blind as you run...aware you were staring at the sun.
And when no hope was left inside on that starry starry night.

Oh, (((hugs))) to you R.MAC - so sorry you've not been well. I'm sure the scan will make you feel a lot better.
Kyle - (((Hugs))) to you and little one.
Dazi - what a gorgeous baby! Congratulations!
Taplady - what a horrid experience for you. I hope you catch up on your sleep.
Weeping River - I've kept chillies and stews in the fridge, say cooked on a Wednesday, to have on a Friday with no ill effects! Any longer than that, I would definitely freeze it, though!
Well, I've just had a phone call from my ex-boss (the one whose place of work nearly drove me mad with stress); he asked if I was missing the place. I said 'yeah, like a hole in the head'. He asked if I would be happy to work the odd day now and again just to cover absences so, to be kind and because I like him but not his job, I said I would, as long as I had some notice. He asked if I would go in next Friday and that's the day I go on the hen 'do' with my future DIL so I had to turn it down. Anyway, he knows I don't mind the odd day so it will be extra pennies every now and again.
Well, I've had a long enough tea break now so I'd better get on - I do believe I've cracked the worst of the accounts but there is a pile of stuff covered with post-its on the kitchen table for DH to check through before I can package it all up for our visit to the accountant on Friday morning.
Anyway, will see you all later.

Not to shabby if I say so myself!:D
Gonna go out in a min to meet my sis for lunch and the promised mooch before tax office and then splodge on the sofa for a night with the tv. ( insert very lazy smiely here)
Hope everyone else's day is progressing well ( or as well as can be for those in unfortunate circumstances). When life gives you lemons......Grab a bottle of tequila and call me over!

Afternoon :hello:
((((Hugs)))) to those in need. I'm sorry your friend is so ill GB.
Last night I started my attack on the mortgage and have made a substantial overpayment :j :j Am going to keep feeding cash in from my savings until my fixed rate expires at the end of November when the restriction on value of overpayments will be lifted, at which point I'm going to turn my savings account upside down and empty it into the mortgage
Also went to Asda, stocked up the freezer, and cooked a batch of sausage casserole.
Got to go to the gym after work as it's nearly the end of the quarter on PruHealth and I need to make 4 more gym visits between now and Monday if I don't want my fees to go up. Then after that I'm going out to a show but might get away with no spend as I'm reviewing it, which means 2 free tickets and a free programme, and (if I'm lucky) a drink bought for me by the mate who's coming on my spare ticket
Love Rzl xx

had a look at some of the other boards on the site yesterday and posted a couple of things. One of the things I noticed, on 1 or 2 places in particular is that the posters are rather more sharp in their replies than on this one. I don't mean in response to my posts, although I was a bit taken aback, but generally. It is almost the flaming that you can get on some forums by some individuals who seem to enjoy doing that kind of thing.
It's all warm and fuzzy here, so I'm staying here!0
