:hello: morning!

well I am feeling more positive now. yesterday was a better day. Every cloud has a silver lining and my little problem over the weekend has shown me how many nice people I have around me, both in cyber world and the real world. I am so lucky.

yesterday we went to a guitar shop to let DS pick out a guitar for his birthday. He got a cheapy sale one from Amazon at Christmas to learn on and he has come on so well he is ready for a better one. The shop was just amazing. never seen so many guitars before and what wonderful colours and designs they come in.

today might have a look at some cars, and if the rain holds off must get some weeding done and feed my pots.

thinking of those with illness, stress or worries.

KATHY glad you're feeling better today, I have a husband who has no pratical skills at all, it's quite painful to watch.

POPPY I've nursed a lot of people with manic depression, with meds it stabilises the mood swings, helping people to go back to work and live a normal life. In my experience it's not as disabling as schizophrenia is, which is a truly terrible illness. MIND do some brilliant info sheets. PM me if you need to.

Have been up since 5 as I wanted to get a run in before OH went to work. Find it really helps my head. Today is payday and I need to go and buy some new running shoes, as mine are really past their best. Will go to JJB as they seem quite competitive and hopefully I'll get some advice.

Think I'll have a nice salad for tea, will make some potatoe salad and coleslaw. Studying later, plus an hour at the allotment.

Well not had a good couple of days I have lost my job in the last week so we have had to go over our finances with a fine tooth comb all this doom and gloom is very worrying and so we have decided to cancel our hol in the Dominican next April have to say i had a little cry when i did it but just dont feel confident that things will get any better so need to save where we can and if we dont go next year hopefully things will be better in 2010.
Need to post my e bay parcels and chase up those who still have not paid then need to pick up spare part so i can put my car back on the road also need to get petrol for DH car and pop to Asda

Lovely and sunny this morning here,hope it stays like it.Not much plans for today,housework as normal,but done most of it this morning,was up early.Washings on the go at the minute.Off to get some food shopping today.

Dogrose glad you feel more positive today. Our DSs sound very alike. My DS also wants a newer, more expensive guitar for his birthday. Not any old guitar - it *has* to be an Epiphone Les Paul Standard (cheapest I have found is £260. :eek: )

DS has his last exam of the year today and he is panicking about it as maths isn't his strongest subject. He has studied and done some past papers though so I'm sure it won't be as bad as he expects. Will still offer up a few prayers for him though.

The turtle DD and I made is now on display in the foyer of the school! DD is very pleased. Right now, she is rushing around gathering any recycling that she can take into school. sounds as though the school is focusing on recycling as an issue throughout the curriculum as this is the third lot that she has had to take to school (this time for RE ).

Off w**k today so will head to Mr T's and use up all my codes for extra points. :j Want to have a look in a couple of other shops too as DD has a birthday party sleepover this weekend and I have to get a couple of bits and bobs to complete the present.

Other than that, no set plans or "to do" list for today so let's see what happens.

oh my goodness I just remembered!!! I am such a bad mother!
proud mother alert! DS has won three prizes coming first in his year in chemistry, maths and computing (came second in his other subject ) and my DD won german and the overall prize for the modern languages department...how could I have forgotten to mention, the letters came yesterday.
not sure where they got their brains from..,..must have skipped a generation or two!

Well, hopefully if all goes to plan I am going to become a Nanny again today :j :j

DIL went into hospital yesterday with pains and sickness and when DS rang last night he said she was having contractions every 3 minutes but wasn't dilated and they were going to induce her today if nothing happened overnight so I will be keeping very close to my phone today hoping for good news. Lets hope it isn't a false alarm again as DIL is so ready for this baby to be born with all the niggles and complications she has been having over the weeks and I think it will be a great relief that it could be all over soon. I will keep you informed.

Off shopping today want to get some new summer tops and will pop into the Disney store for a little cuddly toy for new grandchild. Haven't bought anything for new baby as there is really nothing she needs but you can't have too many cuddly toys can you??;)
