    Evening everyone.

Have had a quick catch up of the thread but brain not quite working so hugs for everyone. ( Specially for the family of the baby)

Its been a horrendous day at work and Im shattered. Client displaying extremes of challenging behaviours and having to deal with proffessionals and a pile of paperwork because of it. Did get praised from co workers who though I had done well and held things together.

Will catch up on my flying tomorrow I can hear my bed calling.

Just done seven and a half hours helping for the school fair. Knackered! We raised loads though so that's good. Night all xx

I've used ones for years but it's very much based on what I need to include, here's Moggin's version http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=214139 which you might find useful as a base. I am pressuming you mean a household journal sort of thing, never personally heard of the term control journal.
I thought that tread looked familiar - then realised I had printed off bits of it to set up a file. Well I did get that far :o:o:o

It's been over a year since Moggins last posted - do hope that means life in the 'real' world is so good for her.

I don't hate it here at all.... I actually like my job...

The money barely covers my childcare etc and I miss my girls.... (plus I think I would like another one... shhhhh don't tell the OH  )

I just feel that I would be SO much happier if I was the one that was around for them.... I hate having to rush dinner because I don't get home until 5:30pm and not being able to sit together for breakfast.

I just don't know what to do... sometimes my girls drive me crazy and work seems like a good escape, but thats very rare and they only play up because I haven't been around for the whole day!

    Confused :o

I always figured that I brought the kids in to this world and I don't want a childminder/nursery to raise my kids, and at the end of the day, what is 16 years of your life anyway, there will still be plenty of time to work after they've grown up.

They are kids such a short time and there is no going back after you've missed out on it.
That's my feelings on it anyway, unfortunately I had to work full time from they were 2 til they turned 6 (different country, no financial support to be had).

It has driven me around the bend not being around adults sometimes but I eventually solved that by volonteering 2 mornings/week while they were in school.
I am pleased I have given my time to my kids 'cause they are well mannered, loved by all and make me proud. I never had a teacher or anyone else say a bad word about them and they are now 14!
    Time well invested I think.

I have done some big time tidying and am all ready for the hoards descending tomorrow afternoon. It's a nice place to be is 'ready' :D

I have also negotiated with DS. The fried breakfast will be ready for 7.30am tomorrow (rather than ready for 7am so he leaves at 7.30) only trouble is, I now have to do it for two (his chauffeur is eating as well). But, I figure that's a small price to pay for an extra 30 minutes wake up time.

        Have a nice night ladies

        Evening all

Just a quick post before I toddle off to my pit of despair, oops sorry my bed I meant to say:rotfl:

Have managed to sort out the bank, thank goodness. They have extended our overdraft to cover all the bills that will come off at the start of the month. And we have been in touch with ssafa and they are going to arrange for someone to come and take me shopping:D - apparently I just have to get what I would normally buy for the house so that will be a big help:D - DD2 is still in nappy pants for night times as she is so little that she sleeps so deep, she will wet the bed then waken up!

But feeling a little more settled today. We also got an offer on the car. We are paying over £300 a month for it and its not even 2 years old:eek: . We have been offered enough to pay it off with about £500 left over and have been offered a lease deal on a smaller car for £99 a month, so am seriously considering it. If DH doesnt have to take the car to England to get rid of it, we might just take the deal. Would be a big help and over £200 less per month to worry about. And the left over money could be used to pay 5 or 6 months in advance!

So lots to think about, am off to sleep and hopefully I will sleep tonight. I don't think I've slept properly in about 2 weeks so I need a decentnights kip. Thankyou all for the lovely messages of support (lil me - have sent you a PM) and will speak to you all later.

Nite nite all, sweet dreams to you all

mary43 one of the pages in my Journal is all about my children including things like their dailiy routines, likes, dislikes etc etc. I did this because just over 7 years ago I was taken into hospital and family who didn't really know my children well had to look after them, DS2 was a baby, DS1 was 2. It was a nightmare when in and out of hospital for many months that I had to go through everything there and then with them, well try to. Now they have added complications like school etc if someone had to step in in my absence everything, I think, is in there, from who's class they are in, what uniforms they need, lunch arrangements, start/finish times and every proffesional they are in contact with (HV, SALT, OT, physio, nurse etc) There is info on every bill we pay and who to, every insurance details, reminders for when things are due, how to use appliances, everything! I continue the thinking with it as the book that if something happened to me, and someone needed to pick up from there, they'd be able to take over with all the information I can provide. I'll be honest with you if something happened to me my partner wouldn't even know what needs dealing with, what needs paying and when to who, what to put in DSs lunch box etc but I have a bit of peace knowing he knows where the book is kept.
Davgirl they all have days like that, you never know your 2 may be innocent.
vivw hope you are feeling better soon. A very big hug for your daughter x
boddy hope you manage to get some much needed rest.
Craftyscholar - Moggins has been back but with another similar user name, she seems pretty much sorted to be honest, did pop in a while back but not seen her for a while.
serena that is such terrible news, poor family, not a thread I have ever participated in (because it involves going shopping and I don't like shopping) but you can't help think of them when things like that happen. Makes you stop and think about what you take for granted.
pigpen point well and truly taken, I've sat on my bum reading this and doing emaily/freecycle/banking poo if that counts :D

Evening didn't go quite to plan, I went up at 7.30pm and because of the light evenings lost track of time. I did however do loads of reading, which after I looked through the assignment have decided to read first then work on each section. Anyway DS1 woke at 10.30pm crying, sore throat, unsure if it's cold or if he's hurt it when he choked himself. Nurofen and drink then popped him back in bed after he settled. Washer (another load) and dishwasher on now, dogs been out and I'm sat here yawning loads, think I will go to bed and put Glastonbury on to listen to as I try to get to sleep. If I can't sleep my books are still up there.

I'd sort of pencilled in a few hours off on Sunday if DP isn't going to Batley (can't study much when the ankle biters are about anyway) to go see my friend (well all of us go) at Croft, but the weather here is shockingly bad! If it's pouring with rain I am not going!
One day I might be more organised...........
