Moggins household manual - hope that's ok?

My household manual would take a whole thread to explain it I think
1 ring binder
Split into 10 sections
Diary
Daily to do list
Goals
Special (christmas and birthday presents and projects)
Food (menu plans and shopping lists)
Cleaning (Zones and detailed cleaning plans)
Family (all school information, DH's work schedule and emergency contact info)
Personal
Holiday (Holiday schedules, ideas for days out and christmas countdown)
In the back are sticky labels, postcards and spare paper.
Have started a thread for it, as that is such a great idea and I think others could benefit from your organisation skills Moggins.
I have a couple of questions to ask if you don't mind.
The daily list you have, is this written daily or do you plan it in advance in addition to the diary? If in advance how far?
I am in awe, and am going to work out how to create a similar idea for me.
Many thanks
Murtle

Oooh a thread all of my own, I'm famous
The daily list is both written in advance and the night before.
It's a list of all the chores which need doing daily, like making beds, washing up, tidying etc.
Then the night before I take 5 mins to think about what I need to do the next day and write it down on the daily list for that day.Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

Hurrah - a thread for this great idea
Is it an A4 file moggins? I'm trying to imagine it in my head

This sounds like something I read about in an American book called Confessions of an Organised Homemaker by Deniece Schofield.I used it for a while and now use a similar system but without the diary bit as I find writing things on a wall calendar suffices.
My book is an A4 binder with these sections;
Weight loss -a record of my weight loss which I haven't kept up to date for a while because I know I haven't lost any weight:p
Pantry list-what I like to keep in my cupboards and freezer
Prices - prices of baking ingredients so I can cost out recipes
Recipe costs -regualr recipes and how much they cost to make
Recipes - from here and other sites
Housework schedule-not followed very closely
Children- currently empty, but I will file ds1's school uniform list there when I get round to it
Garden-empty at the mo
Celebrations - plans for birthdays,Christmas, holiday packing list etc
Frugal menus- this is where I put all those meal plans you lot post + others I find on the internet
Wartime food- articles and menus about rationing which is one of my strange obsessions
Ideas-brainwaves-not many!
I'm sure other people have household books, sorry to hijack Moggins' book but wouldn't it be great if others posted their systems?0 -
I divide mine into daily cleaning, weekly cleaning and ad hoc cleaning. And then I sit and look at my list while the washing-up piles up and the carpets gather dust ... I tried Flylady for a while but it didn't leave me with any time to have a life. The ability of skinny old ladies to carry huge loads is phenomenal. An ant can carry one hundred times its own weight, but there is no known limit to the lifting power of the average tiny eighty-year-old Spanish peasant grandmother.0

I'd love to see other peoples systems. Mine is a sort of amalgamation of things I've read all mixed around into what I need and what works for me so everybody will have different needs and I'd love to learn a thing or two from others ways of doing things.
Come on folks, if you have a system let us see it, it will help all the newbies too who may need some new ideas.Organised people are just too lazy to look for things
