Huh. I have to go bra hunting as I'm now down to 2. One gives a horrid shape (imagine a spare tyre effect just below where your boobs should sit) and the other if fine so long as I don't...move...much...

Possibly a WM too as there is a wire stuck under the drum... Maybe DH can move thw WM out and get the wire out.

Wonder when I can apply for another Family fund award. Can you get a holiday and a WM on your second app???

DH has left his phone and has been gone since 10 am, his appointment was at 11am. He took the bus, but still it is a long way past 11am!! I feel a storm brewing IYKWIM.

I'm in a mood, and I hate what I'm wearing. I have no top to go with this nice skirt and my new jeans are too long to wear about the house *wanders off whinging*

Right, just sat down for 5 minutes while I have a sneezing fit :o My livingroom is looking much better but could probably do with being mopped but since its raining I'm not going to bother :p

Just text my mate about a day out tomorrow with DD and he said he's interested pending what happens tonight - I think the offer of me making him a packed lunch and him just having to pay out for a day pass swung it :rotfl::rotfl: I could do with making a run to Aldi as I've just realised I've no packed lunch things in  Won't tell DD he's coming with incase he end up not coming, if he does I'll tell him to just turn up ;) She won't mind as it was her idea to invite him in the first place :rotfl::rotfl:

Right, up the stairs to dust/hoover and S&S the bathroom then I'll take DD to Aldi with me after school - need to go straight there as Ex is phoning tonight. Right, where's that duster.......

Just done a marathon Mr T's getting food and booze in for tomorrow. Made some nice savings on champagne :o (well, it is Ds's birthday on Sunday). I've put the frozen stuff in the freezer and am just sitting down with a restorative cuppa before I go and put the rest away. I have to sort the fridge out first though. Ah me, it's at times like this I wish I had a great big walk in fridge instead of a piddly little under the counter one.

Bumped into a friend of DS in the shop. They are going paintballing tomorrow. DS has already asked for a fry up breakfast which I've said I'll do for him. They normally go about 8.30. I casually asked DS's friend what time they were going tomorrow and he said they would be leaving about 7.30am this time. There goes my lie-in I guess - the frying pan will have to be on at 7am.

    Hi everyone...

Right... I have completed at least to level 2 on all days :j

I have a shiny shiny kitchen and fluff free floors in every room!!! wow!

I have even managed to add to my "household folder"... (getting a bit obsessed with this now:o )

Tonight I am doing my inventorys of the cupboards and freezer so I will be able to do meal plans properly!

This weekend I am going to go through all my recipe books and whittle them down a bit....

This thread is fantastic... thank you to everyone :D

Don't suppose any of you want to decide whether I should pack in work or not do you???? :o I just can't seem to make my mind up!!!

Hugs to all who want/need them.

I will if you will! Why do you want to? Do you desperately need the money/company? Do you really hate it there?

I don't hate it here at all.... I actually like my job...

The money barely covers my childcare etc and I miss my girls.... (plus I think I would like another one... shhhhh don't tell the OH  )

I just feel that I would be SO much happier if I was the one that was around for them.... I hate having to rush dinner because I don't get home until 5:30pm and not being able to sit together for breakfast.

I just don't know what to do... sometimes my girls drive me crazy and work seems like a good escape, but thats very rare and they only play up because I haven't been around for the whole day!

    Confused :o

Not being a mum myself or in employment I cannot offer much advice on either issue

However, my sister in law who I am close to was in a very similar situation to you a year or so ago when she gave birth to her little un. She was on a small salary in a job she really enjoyed and decided that she would give the whole stay at home mum thing a go, because the child care would have nearly took all of her salary.

I think on the whole she is glad she made that decision, but she definately has days when she wants to be back in adult company. The way she copes is by joining a lot of mother/baby groups and has made friends with other mums. She gets annoyed with the endless talking about nappies, but over time has made some quality friends. I think in an ideal world she would love to just have the best of both worlds and work 2 days a week, but at the moment it is not financially viable.

Speaking for myself, for very different reasons I packed in work about four years ago and I don't regret a minute of it. It's really nice being the master of your own destiny and I am never bored!

I hope my ramble has been of some help,

Good luck, and well done for all the jobs you've got done today, it seems like you've been really productive!

I'm gonna be honest with you all. All I managed was to load the dishwasher, put the rubbish out, open the mail and put some potatoes in the oven for dinner. (and schoolruns and feeding/changing toddler of course)

Pathetic though, isn't it, and I really meant to do so much more. I didn't attempt the car because it was raining all day, but I should have put the laundry away. I can't think what I do. On the net a lot, I suppose and sitting around getting fat. I so want a lovely house!!!

I'm so impressed by your enthusiasm, all of you..
Hex, oops sorry i mean hev can't believe Tesco are so rubbish, they're good here.

Lil-me, I've got 2 case studies to do by September, know how you feel.

Scared1980. That's a hard one, but it sounds as though you are always rushing and not able to appreciate the girls as much as you want to. Especially considering the costs of child care, for me it would be a nobrainer, but I do miss having gainful employment and the stimulation (I just do a few bits here and there to bring in money)

    tiamai-d good luck with bras!!!

justa mum and mudbath - I think jovi are ok, but my hubby's a fan so I tease him by calling it 'girlie-rock' - works a treat!

Pigpen, your food list is making me hungry - hope you find your policies or you've probs!

    WHY didn't I get motivated???:o

Another who haddn't checked quidco for ages, my car insurance has tracked too, I was just saying I don't know when we can afford to go away in the caravan because of £££ but £130 on it's way this month is a weeks site fees paid :D I love Quidco!
Zenjen that sounds a nightmare. I'm doing an OU course. I have been doing 1-2 hour stints in the same sort of way, trying to get my planner similar, well maybe without the selfrewards but in small chunks.
Mudbath the letter made me giggle, it's like my friend was asked to bring her 'GCSE results' well it was O levels back then and she didn't even do those, didn't have a problem getting on the course however. Can't believe your DS is having a 'prom' :rotfl: I think mine would be mortified if they even suggested it.
Pigpen I always buy some things fresh so they can be frozen if unused and some things which can be cooked from frozen incase we run out. I hate catering and always over cater, my family of 4 BBQ last time fed 7 with left overs.......so no point asking me about how much stuff.
sinderella you have my every sympathy, I have 6 more assignments (aswell as these 2) all due in at various times until October then I have 2 exams. Definately don't beat yourself up about how much you've done, you've done a lot more than most would have. As long as you're getting better, however small the steps, it'll happen, give it time, that's what baby steps are all about.
jjef wow, I don't know the going rates but I think I'd be doing it myself or roping family/friends in to help, what about a 'removing trees party' ? BBQ a few axes and a saw, oh but go steady on the booze, don't want accidents.
Tesco delivery, I've just about given up with them aswell, never managed to get it right yet, I like ASDA much better and they don't charge when they substitute so 'smart price' me gets extras ;)
Tia usually it's just one thing on second applications onwards, you can ask but I've never know them award it, I should really get round to applying for DS2s, I keep forgetting. Try www.washerhelp.co.uk for advice on removing foreign objects from washers etc.
Scared1980 noone knows if it's a right decision or not for you, all I will say is if it makes you unhappy (because you miss your family) and you can be with out it financially (if it's barely covering childcare will it always be like that, if it is I wouldn't be going), I wouldn't stay. Saying that it's easier to find a job when you have one.
Michelle ((big hugs)) I remember that feeling well, I'll openly admit once my partner was at home more the only difference it made was more work but being woken at silly oclock when the phone rings and them being irritable because they are tired is no fun.
Hev have you tried ordering via mysupermarket.co.uk ? That way they'll suggest alternatives at Asda etc, I'll be honest I find Asda stock more of what I need and cheaper but it's harder to use their site, so I input everything on Sainsiburys on mysupermarket.co.uk and let them find it :D

Sorry for the really waffly stress filled post this morning, I was obviously shattered as I went upstairs to work on my planner a bit later and the next thing I knew it was 2.30pm :o must have dozed off, had pen on my face (I shouldn't lay on the bed to do stuff as I will loose an eye or something one day) I've started on the plan but it's not going very well, the amount of appointments etc at the mo it's hard fitting things in. I've done some reading of the assignment and know which books I need to do it, I just need to find those books now :o I'm going to plonk DS2 in front of the playstation, I said to DP today I've cut them back so much using it I don't think it's even been switched on his month so I don't feel too guilty and go find those books.

Plan for this evening (just to keep myself right and motivate me if I catch myself popping back in)

[strike] -5.30pm find the books I need and preheat oven
5.30pm-6.15pm cook DS1s dinner (DS2 fed earlier), feed dogs, woody, sonic and fish, tidy kitchen while it cooks (inc emptying dishwasher which is scheduled to finish then) and help him with his dinner (using his new cutlery)[/strike] [strike]meal plan after a freezer check [/strike]
[strike] 6.15pm-6.45pm make a game which encourages the boys to put their stuff they've dumped in the sitting room in a box to be taken upstairs :) tidying can be fun - special super reward of strawberries, amaretti biscuits and cream. Dogs out. [/strike]Dump DPs stuff in his garage. [strike]Clear stuff from under sofas. Fold some of the laundry mountain.
6.45pm Supper time then bath time, I'll run the bath while they finish eating
7.30pm Boys into bed and reading (studying) in my room while they settle
8.30pm Break time, dogs out and fill washing machine
8.45pm Start main PC (with programmes on) and start first question of assignment 1
9.45pm Break time, dogs out and empty washing machine
    10pm Restart assignment [/strike]
11pm Save work, email and bank check then bed!

I think that should cover it....
One day I might be more organised...........
