    morning ladies

off to a slow start. dh arrived home from work at  who knows what time. definitely not before 4 as that was when i finished feeding sam. we were woken by his phone ringing at 7:45 to some problem, and before i knew it he was out the house again. I made him promise to come home early tonight, but i bet i don't see him before 6:30. Not much consideration for the fact we have a new baby - twonks. at least he remembered to put out all the recycling stuff for me or i would have been cross as there is loads after my clothes sort.

i was meant to be going to playgroup, but i was quite relieved when my sister rang up and said she wanted to give it a miss. Instead, i have got a load in the WM, and spent a bit of time playing with the boys.

    plans for today now:
    • boots - order nappies while they are cheap tried but didn't have ds1's size in stock so will go in store over the weekend
    • run hoover around downstairs
    • clean the dining room table
    • [strike]water pot mum again[/strike]
    • go to bank to sign something
    • [strike]bring recycling bin/ box in[/strike]
    • empty clothes airers
    • hang up load from WM
    • HHI/clothes sort
    • make lasagna and chilli with mince i took out freezer
    • make some potato wedges for dinner
    • [strike]deal with post[/strike]
    • [strike]check internet banking[/strike]
    • at least 15 minutes brushing fat fred
    • write a weekend list
    extras:
    • washed up breakie and lunch dishes
    • tried to wash jeans and socks Ds1 was wearing during 'the sudocrem incident' but it didn't work at all so i binned them instead - grrrr!
lil-me good luck with fitting the studying in.

hugs all round. hope you all have a lovely day.

    Morning all

Just a quick one as I am off upstairs to wash my hair and then go and pick DD2 up from nursery.

No news on any front, apart from DH didn't get the job that seemed so interested in him, but they are keeping his details on file in case something else comes up.

DD1 is currently loving her new hairstyle, courtesy of DH's appaling hairdressing skills, and a great friend who managed to sort it all out thankfully. It looks really sweet and she looks so grown up. It's hard to believe she is only 6 sometimes.

Oh god, who didnt know who [STRIKE]God[/STRIKE] Mr Sambora was:eek:        ???!!!!! DH was attempting to sing some Bon Jovi last night. He wasn't half bad either!

Righ am off, will speak to you all later, gonna quickly check facebook then off to get my little angel:rotfl:

    Speak later xxxxx

and a big thankyou to the lovely person who spotted the Grand National Betfair thing. The £50 was paid to my Quidco account today, on top of what i won at the time. I wouldn't have spotted it without you - I think it was Mudbath or G n B - but I may be wrong.

You're welcome Hex, it was me. It was posted on the grabbit board so i cant really take any credit other than for mentioning it here! It was Martin who posted it originally. Glad you made some money out of it though:D

Just bobbing through to say thank you for putting up the list again.

I've been looking at a Sainsbury's order, planning for it to last a month, and the total keeps creeping up. Nothing I can do can stop Tesco inappropriately substituting, and Asda don't seem to have what I want. Still, I've planned the meals for the month (subject to change) and fingers crossed there won't be much else apart from bread and veggies and milk for DS. OH doesn't like home made bread because it isn't sliced like sliced bread and not as good for bacon butties. Sigh.

Haven't put on bacon - off to amend order!

Hev.. I use the 'write note' facility on tesco to tell them what to substitute for if my cosen item is out of stock.. works here.. plus if they send stuff when I've said no substitutes I ring and complain and they refund all the substituted items!!

    DS1's prom today..

Oh.. yesterday I got a letter saying the college are sending me a date for interview.. did I tell you?? I have headache and forget.. lol

I've got DD1 some clothes for her birthday and have booked her in to the hairdressers to have her hair done.. it will be about £18 for a cut and blow dry but I think it will be preferred to junk she has no room for. It is booked for 1:45pm and her friends are arriving about 3pm so it should be done in time and she'll look fab for her party! .. I need to do a BBQ order.. wonder if my BIL will do me a cheapy bag full.. I'll go grovel later.

How much (burgers/sausages/chicken drumsticks) will we need do you think for..

    10 adults (possibly another 6)
5 teenage dustbins (possibly another 2)
    6 children (possibly another 3)

I'm doing a big bowl of salad, crisps, 4 pizzas (with 2 more in the freezer for back up) .. adults can bring their own beer!! I may stretch to a cuple of bottles of wine but I refuse to get lager.. and fizzy pop.. I'll get fresh juice for the chillies I think..better than squash.. Off to Lidl then!! lol

G n B - I wouldn't have seen it if you hadn't said though, and given that my tax, insurance and MOT are due it is very welcome. A lot of people seem to have had problems with it tracking so I must have been lucky for once.

Serena - Glad you had a good holiday. Ages ago you gave a link to a french gites site - brilliant thanks. Ferry and gite coming in at £225 for the four of us for October half term! I just need to find a cats, dogs, and chickens sitter.

jjef - I have sent you a friend request and then I can invite you to play the word games. The ones I have found are word twist, scramble, pathwords and scrabulous. Watch out for Shell2001 - she seems to hold the top score for them all.

Still not left my desk. Sorry. HHC 12-12.30 anyone?
