    :hello: everyone

Not really done anything off my list today but have just stood and done an hour's ironing - there's still a load more to do though.

Just off to spend some time with my neighbour's dog so he doesn't think he's been completely deserted before I lock up for the night.

On a good note, DS has had his swimming test tonight ( a week early which we didn't know about because he finished his lesson early last week because of DD's concert) and has passed first time. It took DD 4 attempts to pass this particular one as they have to be fairly strong and obviously they're only small.

Can we all pray for sun tomorrow as it is sports day for my two and DH has booked a day's holiday to go and watch them as I couldn't get the time off. If it gets cancelled, he won't be able to get another day off.

Right better go and dogsit for a bit

    Have a good night all

ok, I'm going to make a tentative start... do I have to go by the official list or can I aim to clean the bathroom, put away the laundry and clear the junk out of the car?

Good luck at sports day, Juliejim...

Juliejim - sending sunny weather vibes. We need it to be nice tomorrow as we have the summer fair tomorrow 6 till 8.

Pollybear - how's your pooch doing?

Sinderella - welcome to the madhouse.

Soappie - glad the curtains fit. I always hate that scary moment when you're about to put them up and you think 'Do they fit?' I still get it when they've been measured professionally!

Lil_me - fab about your son. Didn't realise you had one going into Junior school. My DS goes into juniors but the infants and juniors is all on one site so he doesn't actually change schools.

    Popped to the allotment in the pouring rain just to check it hadn't shrunk in all this rain!! Managed to get some radishes, lettuce and rocket so it wasn't a wasted trip. I've not got three wooden pallets for making the compost bins so that's enough for one of them. We want to have four in total. A builder working near my mum and dads has said he'll pop some more round for us too. {note to mudbath - get a life....your excitement is out of proportion...it's only pallets:rotfl: }

Right, off to bed early as think Spain will. Looking forward to the final. Someone's lent me a brilliant book so off to read that (Nineteen Minutes - Jodi Picoult - problem with her books is I never fancy them when I read the blurb and then I can't put them down!).

Night and hugs to all xx

    Evening all,

Many thanks for all the websites and threads here to have a look at, just about to spend time having alook around.

I have s&s all the upstairs rooms and made a list of what needs doing in each room, will do the downstairs rooms tomorrow its not looking too bad in these rooms but added to tomorrows rooms it may take a while to get throught everything that I want to.

Will post a list tomorrow of what I want to achieve/have achieved.

Thanks everyone for the good wishes for Polly, I'll give her lots of hugs before bedtime :) She's no worse, still stumbling about but still trying. I just got my thumb bit because I was giving her a piece of tomato (she'll eat anything) and she couldn't focus on it and missed, but that's not her fault. Hopefully she'll be better tomorrow, but it took about a week for her to get over it last time.

Pouring with rain out, glad I didn't bother to water my pots.

No Sinderella, it's not cruel, it's just the wrong strategy. You hand the wee one a toddler sized dusting cloth (microfibre is preferable ) plonk them untethered in the front seat area and show 'em how to dust the dashboard. Whilst they are doing that, you do the rest. Bribes of course always help to facilitate the learning curve :D :rotfl:

Soooo right Mudbath! I did the measurements myself and it was quite scarey when I got to hanging them up - was I going to be flying at half mast etc? This is the first time I've ever bought made to measure expensive curtains. (I've previously bought cheapo ones in the sales and cut and hemmed to suit). But my measurements were, surprisingly, fine and the curtain makers have done a cracking job.
